Podcast Producer/Editor

Podcast Producer / Editor — The Outcomes Lab Contract, part-time, ongoing. Remote. About the show The Outcomes Lab is a new video-and-audio podcast hosted by Dr. Warren Helfrich, a 30-year expert in performance measurement, accreditation, and leadership in the health and human services sector. The show features honest conversations on measuring performance, designing systems, and leading change. It sits inside a broader business eco-system (a learning platform and two consulting practices), so the content needs to do double duty: build the show and feed the surrounding businesses. Audience is sector leaders and practitioners, and they live mainly on LinkedIn. What you'd own You take each recorded episode and run the entire post-production and packaging chain so the host can focus on guests and conversation, not editing and distribution: Edit the full episode in both video and audio (cleanup, pacing, intro/outro, light color and sound correction). Cut 4 to 6 short vertical clips per episode optimized for LinkedIn, with captions. Produce thumbnails and episode graphics from an existing brand template. Draft show notes, episode titles, and social copy (first draft — the host reviews and approves before anything ships). A voice guide will be provided so written drafts sound like the host, not generic AI copy. Schedule and publish across the podcast host platform and social channels. What you would not own Guest selection and outreach, the conversation itself, and final approval on written copy stay with the host. You are the production and distribution engine, not the content strategist. You're a fit if you Have produced video-first podcasts before, not just audio (show me examples). Understand the "record once, slice into many" model and are fluent with vertical short-form. Write clean, professional English and can adapt to a defined voice. Are reliable on turnaround and communicate proactively without being chased. Are comfortable with a long-term working relationship over one-off gigs. Bonus, not required Experience with B2B, professional, or expert-led content (vs. entertainment). Familiarity with LinkedIn-native distribution. Any background in or exposure to health, human services, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors. How this works This is a steady, ongoing relationship for someone who learns the show and grows with it. Episodes are produced in batches rather than on a rigid weekly clock, so workload comes in waves tied to recording sessions. Before any ongoing arrangement, there's one paid trial episode so we can both see how the working relationship and the output feel. If it's a fit, we move to a standing per-episode or monthly arrangement. To apply Send: Two or three examples of video podcasts you've produced end-to-end, including the short clips you cut from them. A short note on your turnaround time and how you prefer to communicate. Your per-episode rate, with what's included at that rate.
