Podcast Producer & Editor

Practise What You Post is a podcast on AHPRA compliance, ethical marketing, and public health for allied health professionals. We're looking for a producer and editor to take raw recordings and turn them into polished, engaging episodes — someone who can own the post-production process end to end and bring a sharp ear for pacing and story. What you'll do Edit raw audio (and video, if applicable) into a clean, well-paced final episode Handle noise reduction, leveling, and overall audio polish so every episode sounds professional Cut for pacing — tighten rambling sections, remove dead air and filler, keep the narrative moving Add intro/outro music, transitions, and sound design where appropriate Create episode timestamps/chapter markers Collaborate on show notes and episode titles that reflect the content accurately Manage the episode workflow and turnaround times to hit a consistent publishing schedule Flag any content, compliance, or clarity concerns during editing (e.g. sections that may need re-recording) Optionally: assist with repurposing episodes into short-form clips for social What we're looking for Proven experience producing/editing podcasts (please share examples or a portfolio) Strong technical skills in audio editing software (e.g. Adobe Audition, Descript, Hindenburg, Pro Tools) A good ear for storytelling and pacing — you know when a moment needs to breathe and when it needs to be cut Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines Bonus: experience with healthcare, allied health, or compliance-adjacent content Bonus: familiarity with repurposing long-form audio into short-form video content
