Podcast Production & Distribution Manager

StorageNerds is a leading self-storage investing education company. We produce weekly educational content focused on self-storage investing, acquisitions, operations, and entrepreneurship. We're looking for a Podcast Production & Distribution Manager to take ownership of our weekly podcast production process and help us grow the StorageNerds podcast across all platforms. We are seeking a highly organized Podcast Production & Distribution Manager to manage our weekly podcast workflow from content creation through distribution. The ideal candidate will take existing long-form video content from our YouTube channel, transform it into a professional podcast, distribute it across major podcast platforms, maintain our podcast library, and oversee the migration of historical podcast content currently managed by a third-party provider. This is an ongoing contractor position with long-term growth potential. Primary Responsibilities Weekly Podcast Production Review YouTube content and identify episodes for podcast release Extract and optimize audio from video recordings Edit episodes for professional sound quality Remove dead air, technical issues, and distractions Add intro/outro music and sponsorship messages when applicable Normalize audio levels for podcast standards Podcast Publishing Upload and schedule weekly podcast episodes Write SEO-optimized: Episode titles Episode descriptions Show notes Episode summaries Add timestamps and chapter markers Ensure episodes publish correctly across all podcast platforms Podcast Distribution Manage distribution to: Apple Podcasts Spotify YouTube Podcasts Amazon Music iHeartRadio Audible Podcast Index Other major podcast directories Website Management Create podcast posts/pages on our website Embed podcast episodes Add show notes and summaries Maintain podcast archives Ensure all podcast content is properly organized Historical Podcast Migration Project A major part of this role will involve helping us gain ownership and control of all historical podcast assets currently managed by Podetize. Responsibilities include: Audit existing podcast episodes Download and organize historical podcast files Recover original audio where possible Verify podcast ownership and access Assist with RSS feed migration Transfer podcast hosting to a company-owned platform Ensure no loss of subscribers during migration Organize all legacy podcast assets into our systems Podcast Growth & Analytics Monitor podcast performance Track downloads and listener metrics Recommend improvements Monitor rankings and reviews Provide monthly performance reports Required Skills Podcast editing experience Audio editing software proficiency (Audition, Descript, Riverside, etc.) Podcast hosting experience RSS feed management Podcast platform knowledge Content publishing experience Attention to detail Strong written English Preferred Qualifications Experience managing business podcasts YouTube content repurposing experience SEO experience WordPress experience Descript experience Self-storage or real estate industry experience Deliverables Each week, the contractor will: Publish one podcast episode Create show notes Create episode descriptions Upload to all podcast platforms Update website content Monitor publication success Provide a weekly completion report Initial Project Goal Within the first 30 days: Audit all current podcast assets Gain access to all podcast accounts Document current publishing workflow Create a migration plan away from Podetize Successfully publish new episodes independently Begin transfer of historical content ownership
