Podcast Social Media Promoter First Principles with Mike Chaput Job Type: Contract / Ongoing Hours: ~15–20 hrs/week to start Budget: Open to discussion based on experience Here’s where we are First Principles is a business leadership podcast hosted by Mike Chaput, CEO of Endsight, a managed IT services company that’s made the Inc. 5000 ten times. The show features executives and operators who’ve actually built something opening up their playbooks for real conversation. Season 1 is fully produced, and we're very close to launch. We hope to launch Episode 1 in mid to late summer. Season 2 is nearly complete and recording its episodes. We have a production partner. We have 17 produced shorts for Episode 1 alone, a full-length episode ready to go, a YouTube channel, a Podbean distribution setup, HubSpot for email and social scheduling, and a 400-account client list of executives who are exactly the audience this show is built for. What we don’t have is enough hours in the day to do all of this the right way. What we’re looking for We need someone who has demonstrably helped a podcast or creator grow their audience, and can come in and do that for us. The internal team isn’t going away. We’ll keep producing content, handling email sends, and managing the platforms. What we need is a strategist and executor who can look at everything we have, tell us how to use it, and then run the day-to-day promotion so we’re spending our time on the right things. If you’ve helped someone get 100,000 views on their podcast, show us. That’s the level we’re trying to get to. What you’ll own Growth strategy. Develop and own the audience growth plan for YouTube and LinkedIn. These are our primary platforms. Everything else is important, but these are where the executives and operators we want to reach spend their time. Short-form distribution. Every episode comes with 15 to 20 produced clips. You’ll develop caption strategies, platform-specific cadences, and hook optimization for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X. The Subscribe CTA is already baked into each video. Your job is getting people to watch in the first place. Paid amplification. We boost organically performing content through native platform tools: LinkedIn Boost, YouTube Studio Promote, Meta Boost, TikTok Spark Ads. No formal campaign management. The rule is simple: give every post 24 to 48 hours of organic life, then put money behind what’s already working. We need you to tell us where to invest, how much and how long to reach our audience and drive subscribers. Performance reporting. Track what’s performing and what isn’t. Give us a weekly read on views, engagement, subscriber growth, and ad spend efficiency. Tell us where to press harder and where to pull back. Guest co-promotion. When a guest has their own audience, we want to make it easy for them to amplify the episode. You’ll develop a repeatable kit that removes friction for them and gets their audience into our ecosystem. Platforms and tools Primary: YouTube, LinkedIn. Secondary: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X. Scheduling: HubSpot Social. Email: HubSpot (we own the sends; you advise on strategy and timing). Ad spend: Native boost tools across all platforms. What we need from you Experience that shows up in numbers. Tell us about a podcast or creator account you’ve grown. Where did it start, what did you do, and where did it end up? A feel for the audience. The people watching this show are executives and operators at small and mid-sized businesses. They’re not doom-scrolling for entertainment. If you understand how to reach a professional LinkedIn audience, that matters a lot here. The ability to run with it. We’ll share the plan, the tools, the access, and the assets. We don’t want to manage every post. We want to manage you. Familiarity with the tools. HubSpot Social, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Boost, YouTube Studio Promote. You don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but you shouldn’t be learning from scratch. How to apply In your proposal, include: 1. One or two examples of podcasts or creator accounts you’ve helped grow, with specific numbers showing where they started and where they ended up. 2. Three to five sentences on how you’d approach the Episode 1 launch for a B2B leadership podcast targeting executives. We’re moving fast. With our launch coming this summer, we’d like someone onboarded soon. We’re not looking for a 90-day contractor. We’re looking for someone who can grow with a show that’s only going to get bigger.
