Police Bodycam Footage Researcher

We're hiring a footage researcher to find compelling US police bodycam footage for our YouTube channel. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Find a US police bodycam incident from a news article, then file (or help us file) a NEW public records / FOIA request to that specific police department for the FULL raw, UNRELEASED footage IMPORTANT: we do NOT want footage that's already public — if it's already on YouTube, a news broadcast, or an official department upload, it's not usable, no matter how you sourced it. We need footage nobody has seen yet, pulled directly via a fresh records request. Submit each piece with: the news article covering the incident + a short 2–3 sentence story summary Prioritize: arrests, traffic stops, suspect interactions, dramatic confrontations (no graphic violence or fatalities) Each submission should be 2–3 hours of usable raw footage from the same incident or related set PAY: $10–$20 per approved footage submission, depending on quality and relevance. "Approved" = footage we actually use in a published video. Already-public/broadcast footage, short clips, low-quality recordings, duplicates, and footage already used by major bodycam channels will not be paid. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Experience finding online content (creator-facing research, journalism, etc.) Reliable communication — we'll need consistent weekly submissions Ability to spot a story that grabs attention vs. just any old arrest footage THIS IS: A long-term, ongoing role Remote, asynchronous, flexible hours A potential full-time fit for the right person if results are strong Is this price okay with you?
