Police Dashcam Scriptwriter (Compilation Channel)

We are looking for an experienced scriptwriter to join our growing police dashcam channel team. The role is a little different from traditional scriptwriting. Each video consists of approximately 5-6 separate police dashcam cases, and your job will be to turn raw footage into an engaging and cohesive compilation. Responsibilities: Select the strongest moments and most engaging footage from each case. Cut out irrelevant footage, downtime, and unnecessary repetition. Structure each case into a clear and easy-to-follow story. Create smooth transitions between cases to keep pacing high throughout the video. Write concise narration that explains what is happening, provides context, and maintains viewer retention. Ensure factual accuracy while making the stories engaging and easy to understand. What we're looking for: Previous experience writing for police bodycam, dashcam, courtroom, interrogation, or documentary-style YouTube content. Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention. Ability to identify the most compelling moments within long-form footage. Excellent English writing skills. Understanding of YouTube retention principles is a major advantage. Bonus Points: Experience working with larger channels in the police, crime, or documentary niche. Familiarity with YouTube analytics and viewer retention. Experience with clip selection or editing workflows. When applying, please include: Examples of previous work.
