# Urban and Regional Planning Portfolio Designer Needed — Adobe Illustrator I am looking for an experienced portfolio and editorial designer to create a professional portfolio showcasing my Urban and Regional Planning work. The portfolio will include: * One major urban planning project * Four smaller planning projects * Research, site analysis, concept development, design process, and final outcomes * Maps, diagrams, master plans, renders, charts, written analysis, and other visual material I will provide the project material through PDF files, images, and Figma files. Most of the content is currently written in Arabic. I will also attach a file containing examples of portfolios and visual styles that I like. This inspiration file should be used as a visual reference to help the designer understand my preferred direction, layout style, typography, colours, and overall vision. I do not expect the examples to be copied exactly, but the final portfolio should reflect a similar level of quality and visual character. ## Scope of Work The selected freelancer will be responsible for: 1. Reviewing all the provided PDFs, images, Figma files, and other project material. 2. Understanding the purpose, process, and final outcome of each project. 3. Identifying the strongest and most relevant content to include. 4. Summarising long, repetitive, or overly technical information. 5. Translating the selected Arabic content into clear, professional English. 6. Organising each project into a clear visual story that explains: * Project background and objectives * Site context and research * Site analysis * Problems, opportunities, and constraints * Design concepts and planning decisions * Development of the proposal * Final plans, visuals, and outcomes 7. Showing my thinking process and explaining how the analysis and design decisions led to the final results. 8. Designing the complete portfolio in Adobe Illustrator. 9. Creating a consistent visual identity, layout system, typography, colour palette, and graphic style across all projects. 10. Using the attached portfolio inspiration file as a visual reference for the overall design direction. 11. Ensuring that all maps, diagrams, plans, images, and text are clear, readable, and professionally presented. 12. Making revisions based on my feedback. The portfolio should not simply display the final results. It must communicate my planning approach, research process, problem-solving skills, design development, and the reasoning behind my final decisions. ## Required Deliverables * Final portfolio in high-resolution PDF format * Optimised PDF version suitable for emailing and online applications * Fully editable Adobe Illustrator source file * All linked images, graphics, and assets properly packaged * Clearly named and organised Illustrator layers * Editable text, diagrams, and layout elements * List of all fonts used * Print-ready version of the portfolio * English text checked for grammar, clarity, and consistency The Illustrator file must be properly organised and easy for me to update in the future. I do not want a flattened, outlined, or difficult-to-edit source file. Any text that needs to remain editable should not be converted into outlines. ## Preferred Freelancer I am looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas: * Urban planning portfolios * Urban design portfolios * Architecture portfolios * Landscape architecture portfolios * Editorial and publication design * Maps, diagrams, and technical presentations Strong Adobe Illustrator skills are essential. The freelancer should also be comfortable reviewing a large amount of project material and making informed decisions about what should be included, summarised, reorganised, redesigned, or removed.
