We’re looking for a detail-oriented researcher who can consistently find uplifting, verified, and shareable news stories from around the world. Responsibilities ● Find 20–50 positive news stories each week. ● Research stories from reputable, copyright-safe sources. ● Verify facts using multiple trusted sources. ● Provide links to original sources and supporting references. ● Write a concise 3–5 sentence summary of each story in your own words. ● Suggest compelling headlines and social media hooks. ● Identify stories with strong viral potential. ● Flag any copyright or licensing concerns before submission. Requirements ● Excellent English writing and research skills. ● Experience in journalism, news research, or content research. ● Strong fact-checking ability. ● Understanding of copyright, fair use, and Creative Commons content. ● Highly organized and dependable. ● Passion for positive, inspiring, and solutions-focused news. Preferred Experience ● Journalism or media background. ● Experience researching for social media brands. ● Familiarity with AP style or similar editorial standards. ● Knowledge of global news sources and nonprofit organizations.
