Post-Production Video Editor — Cinematic Dinosaur Storytelling Channel (YouTube)

# Post-Production Video Editor — Cinematic Dinosaur Storytelling Channel (YouTube) ## About the Project I run a YouTube channel focused on cinematic, narrative-driven dinosaur and prehistoric storytelling — think documentary-style pacing and visual polish, but not a full slow-paced nature documentary. I want it blended with a faster, punchier "YouTube style" edit — more dynamic cuts and visual energy — so it doesn't feel like kids' content or a dry fact list either. I'm looking for a long-term, end-to-end post-production editor to turn finished scripts and voiceovers into fully produced videos. ## What "End-to-End" Means Here You will receive: - A finished script - A finished voiceover (recorded narration, ready to edit against) You are responsible for everything after that, including: - Sourcing all visuals — stock footage, images, and any needed motion graphics or charts/stat cards referenced in the script - Full editing: pacing, sequencing, transitions, and syncing visuals to the narration - Basic motion graphics (text overlays, simple animated stat cards/callouts, map/timeline graphics where the script calls for them) - Color/audio cleanup (light color grading, background music mixing, sound design/SFX to support tension and pacing) - Delivering a final, publish-ready video file I am not scripting or providing footage — I need someone who can take a script + VO and independently build the entire visual world around it. ## The Style I'm Looking For The tone is narrative arc storytelling. I want it semi-documentary, semi-"YouTube style" — documentary-level pacing and visual polish, blended with a faster, punchier YouTube edit rhythm. I'm using two existing channels as direct reference points: - **More documentary-style reference:** [ExtinctZoo](https://www.youtube.com/@ExtinctZoo) — polished, narration-led, restrained pacing, feels like a nature documentary. - **Less documentary / faster-paced reference:** [Spinosnack](https://www.youtube.com/@Spinosnack) — punchier editing, more dynamic visuals and cuts, still narration-driven but with more energy and movement. I want something that sits between these two — the visual polish and pacing patience of ExtinctZoo, with more of the dynamic energy and cut rhythm of Spinosnack. Please watch a few videos from both channels before applying so you understand the target tone. ## What I Need From You - A portfolio or past work samples showing narration-led, documentary-style, or fact/story-based YouTube editing (nature, history, true crime, or similar narration-driven genres are all relevant — it doesn't have to be dinosaurs) - Strong stock footage/image sourcing skills — knowing how to find footage that actually matches the tone and doesn't look generic or repetitive - Comfort building simple motion graphics (stat cards, text callouts, basic map or timeline animations) - Solid pacing instincts — matching cuts and visuals to a narration's rhythm, including its pauses - Reliable communication and ability to hit agreed turnaround times ## Workflow & Deliverables - I'll send the script + voiceover audio file per video - You deliver a fully edited, publish-ready video - Ongoing/recurring work — this is not a one-off project; I'm looking to build a consistent working relationship for regular uploads Looking forward to seeing your work.
