Power BI Corporate Trainer

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power BI Trainer to deliver a 2-day onsite corporate training for a government organization. This training will be highly hands-on and designed for business users who want to independently build reports, dashboards, and visualizations while connecting to semantic models and Azure SQL data sources. The client is also interested in a brief introduction to AI capabilities within Power BI, but the primary focus should remain on Power BI fundamentals. Training Details Duration: 2 days Target Delivery: August or September Audience: 15 participants per session (additional sessions may be scheduled if attendance exceeds 15) Delivery Style: Approximately 60% hands-on / 40% lecture Course Objectives Participants should leave the training able to: Connect to data sources including semantic models and Azure SQL Build professional Power BI reports and dashboards Create effective visualizations Develop and use DAX measures Transform and prepare data using Power Query Understand data modeling fundamentals Publish and share reports Apply Power BI best practices Gain a brief overview of AI features within Power BI (Copilot, AI-assisted DAX, etc.) The curriculum should be customized based on the client's environment and business needs prior to delivery. Preferred Experience Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling Experience working with Azure SQL and semantic models Previous experience delivering instructor-led corporate training Ability to adapt content for business users with varying technical backgrounds Nice to Have Microsoft certifications related to Power BI or Microsoft Fabric Experience delivering training for government or enterprise organizations Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric Experience incorporating AI features available within Power BI Environment The client may be able to provide access to a sanitized Power BI environment for demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Experience delivering customized training using client-specific datasets is highly desirable. Compensation $1,200/day for onsite delivery Travel expenses will be discussed separately if applicable.
