We provide managed IT services, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, cloud services, business automation, software development, and technology consulting for small and mid-sized organizations. We are looking for a Power Platform Engineer to help design, build, support, and improve business applications and automations using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse, Power BI, and related Microsoft 365 technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving workflows, building practical tools, and turning messy manual processes into clean, scalable systems. ## Role Overview The Power Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining custom business applications, workflows, automations, dashboards, and integrations for both internal use and customer projects. This person will work with leadership, technical teams, and customers to understand business needs, design solutions, build applications, automate processes, document systems, and provide ongoing support. The role requires both technical skill and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users. ## Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Power Apps applications for internal operations and customer-facing projects. Create automated workflows using Power Automate to improve business processes, approvals, notifications, integrations, and data movement. Build and maintain SharePoint lists, document libraries, forms, permissions, and supporting structures for business applications. Work with Dataverse, Microsoft Lists, Excel, SQL, APIs, and other data sources as needed. Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to provide operational visibility and decision-making support. Gather requirements from internal teams and customers, then translate those requirements into practical technical solutions. Improve existing workflows, apps, reports, and automations for reliability, usability, performance, and scalability. Create documentation for applications, workflows, data structures, user processes, and support procedures. Troubleshoot issues with Power Apps, Power Automate, connectors, permissions, forms, integrations, and data sources. Help establish development standards, naming conventions, version control practices, testing processes, and deployment procedures. Collaborate with managed services, professional services, software development, sales, and customer stakeholders to deliver successful solutions. Support Microsoft 365-based process improvement initiatives, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Planner, and related tools. Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and create better customer and internal outcomes. ## Qualifications Experience building solutions with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, and common business workflows. Ability to gather requirements and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into working applications. Experience with data modeling, relational data concepts, permissions, and basic security considerations. Comfortable documenting systems, processes, and support procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects or requests while maintaining attention to detail. A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies. ## Preferred Experience Experience with Dataverse, Power BI, Power Pages, AI Builder, or Copilot Studio. Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with APIs, SQL, Azure services, Dynamics, PSA platforms, CRM systems, accounting systems, or other business applications. Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, Power Fx, SQL, or scripting languages. Experience working for an MSP, consulting company, internal IT team, or professional services organization. Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, permissions, service accounts, security groups, and least privilege access. Experience with application lifecycle management, environments, solution packaging, deployment pipelines, or governance in the Power Platform admin center. Familiarity with Microsoft licensing for Power Platform and Microsoft 365. ## Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a practical builder who enjoys solving real business problems. They are comfortable talking with users, understanding what is broken or inefficient, and creating solutions that make work easier. They do not just build what was requested; they ask good questions, think through the process, and help design systems that are maintainable, secure, and useful. They care about clean documentation, reliable delivery, and creating tools that people actually want to use. ## Success in This Role Looks Like Internal and customer workflows become more efficient, consistent, and easier to manage. Power Apps and automations are reliable, documented, and supportable. Manual processes are reduced or eliminated where practical. Dashboards and reports provide useful visibility into business operations. Users understand how to use the tools that are built for them. Projects are delivered with clear requirements, good communication, and clean handoff. Applications are built with proper permissions, maintainable data structures, and scalable design. The company develops stronger standards for building, deploying, and supporting Power Platform solutions. ## Why Join Us? You will join a growing company where your work directly improves how businesses operate. You will have the opportunity to build useful applications, automate real processes, improve customer outcomes, and help shape how we deliver Microsoft-based business solutions. We value ownership, integrity, optimistic excellence, and unreasonable hospitality.
