We're building a set of premium, collectible achievement badges for a mobile app that rewards users for hitting milestones — and we're looking for a vector designer who genuinely loves crafting small, jewel-like assets that people want to collect. If you take pride in making a tiny icon look as sharp at 40px as it does enlarged, read on. This is a real set with real craft behind it, a respectful paid-sample process, and a clear budget. Think Strava trophy badges meets Xbox achievement icons — that level of polish, depth, and collectibility, designed for a dark UI. We strongly prefer designers with badge / gamification / game-asset experience. The Deliverable ~68 achievement badge icons — modern, clean, premium, collectible. The kind of badge a user is proud to unlock. Not cartoonish, not clip-art, not generic stock. Compact format for an in-app grid: must read clearly at 40–120px and still look great enlarged on a detail view. Cohesive system — consistent construction, line weight, shading logic, and silhouette language across the whole set. One family, not 68 one-offs. Designed to sit on a DARK UI background — please account for that in contrast, edges, and glow/shadow treatment. Scope & How We Count Badges (please read before you quote) Of the ~68, exactly 7 are "tier" badges: ONE design recolored into 7 rank colorways (a bronze → silver → gold-style progression). That's one base design plus 6 additional recolors (7 colorways total). The 6 recolors are simple recolors of the same artwork, not separate designs — quote them as low-cost recolor variants, not as full base badges. Those same 7 tier badges also need a wider "banner" layout in addition to the compact icon. Bundle the banner layouts into your tier recolor quote (no separate line item for banners). Everything else is an individual base badge. Files & Handoff Editable vector source in Figma or Adobe Illustrator — organized, component/layer-structured, not flattened. Exports in PNG + SVG at @1x / @2x / @3x (the tier banner layouts in the same formats). Organized, clearly-named file structure so we can drop assets straight into the app. All work must be original. No stock, no AI-traced clip-art, no reused third-party assets. Full commercial rights / ownership transferred to us on delivery. 2 rounds of revisions included per badge. We give clear, specific feedback — no death-by-a-thousand-tweaks. How We'll Work (paid samples first) We share a short style brief + color palette + reference examples with the shortlist, so you're not guessing. We respect your time, so we don't ask for free spec work. We start with 2–3 PAID sample badges to confirm style fit on both sides — you're paid for these regardless of whether we proceed. Once the style is approved, we commit to the full set. Budget Quote a per-base-badge rate — target range $40–65 per base badge. Quote the recolor rate separately / lower, since the tier variants are recolors of one design (banner layouts included in that rate).
