Premium YouTube Documentary Editor & Motion Graphics Artist (James Jani / MagnatesMedia Style)
Worldwide
Project Overview: I am looking for an elite-level video editor and motion graphics artist for a high-end YouTube automotive channel. The videos explore deep-dive stories, history, and the world of automotive. The visual benchmark for this channel is MagnatesMedia, James Jani, and Moon. This is NOT a job for basic jump-cuts, cheap stock footage, or lazy AI-generated video. I need a visual storyteller who can take a voiceover and a script and turn it into a 10 to 12-minute cinematic experience. What You Will Be Doing (Deliverables): - The Edit: Full video edit for a documentary up to 12 minutes in length. - Motion Graphics & 3D: Heavy use of 2.5D parallax effects on historical photos, custom map animations, and 3D camera movements through digital environments (e.g., newspaper clippings, documents, abstract environments). - B-Roll Integration: Sourcing premium B-roll and blending it seamlessly with the motion graphics so it doesn't feel like "stock footage." - Kinetic Typography: High-end, stylized text animations that emphasize key points in the script. - Sound Design: A massive focus on audio. You must expertly mix the voiceover, background music, and heavy sound effects (swooshes, impacts, risers, atmospheric noise) to build tension. - Thumbnail Design: You will also design 1 highly clickable, custom thumbnail that perfectly matches the cinematic style of the video. (Optional if applicant does it) Strict Requirements: * No Lazy AI: Do not apply if you just use AI video generators to make slideshows. We want meticulously crafted, human-driven motion graphics. * Software Mastery: You must be an expert in Adobe After Effects. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Photoshop (for the thumbnail) are expected. 3D software (Blender/Cinema4D) is a massive plus. * Storytelling: You must understand pacing—knowing when to speed up the visuals for excitement and when to slow down for dramatic effect. What details needed from applicant: 1. NO generic editing reel of gaming videos, podcasts, or talking heads. Only link to videos the applicant edited that match the documentary/motion graphics style of James Jani or MagnatesMedia. If possible, provide timestamps of your best motion graphics work. 2. Include the estimated turnaround time for a 10 to 12-minute video of this caliber. 3. State your flat-rate quote for the full package (12-minute video + thumbnail). Thumbnail optional if candidate does it.
