Prepare Canva Wholesale Catalogue for VistaPrint Self-Cover Booklet Printing

OVERVIEW We have a 24-page wholesale product catalogue designed in Canva. We need an experienced print production designer to convert it into a press-ready PDF that meets VistaPrint's self-cover booklet requirements, using the official VistaPrint template as the foundation. Note on the attached guidelines: VistaPrint publishes one file preparation guide covering both saddle-stitch and self-cover booklets. This order is a SELF-COVER booklet. The file setup requirements in the guide apply to both products, so follow them as written, but all references to product pages, configurator settings, and templates should be the self-cover versions. This is a production and prepress task, not a redesign. The layout, branding, and content are already set. Your job is to rebuild or reflow the existing design into the correct template so it prints exactly as intended. SCOPE OF WORK Rebuild the catalogue in the VistaPrint self-cover booklet template at the correct trim and bleed dimensions. Set the page order. Final page sequence will be provided to you in writing after the job is awarded. Do not assume the Canva export order is correct. Apply 0.125" bleed on all four sides of every page. Extend background colors and images to the bleed line. Confirm all text and key artwork sits inside the 0.125" safety margin, including the binding edge. Convert the file to CMYK (Fogra 39 profile). Flag any brand colors that shift noticeably so we can approve before final output. Verify image resolution is 300 dpi at final placed size. Flag any images that fall short. Embed all fonts. Do not outline or convert type to paths. Proofread and quality check the full document: spelling, obvious grammar errors, duplicated or missing text, inconsistent capitalization, misaligned elements, low-resolution logos, incorrect or missing product information, broken layout from the Canva conversion. Deliver a short written list of anything you find rather than silently changing product names, prices, SKUs, or copy. Export the final print-ready PDF and supply a flattened low-resolution preview PDF for our review. WHAT WE PROVIDE The current catalogue as a Canva file and a high-resolution PDF export VistaPrint print file instructions PDF, which covers both saddle-stitch and self-cover booklets VistaPrint self-cover booklet design templates in PDF, AI, and SVG formats Final page order and any content corrections, provided after award Original high-resolution product images if any need replacing DELIVERABLES Print-ready PDF meeting all specifications above Low-resolution preview PDF for approval Written list of spelling, content, and visual issues found Editable working file (InDesign package or Illustrator, whichever you use) CONTRACT AND TIME TRACKING This will be an hourly contract. All billable hours must be logged with the time tracker in the Upwork Desktop App so that activity is recorded in the Work Diary. Manual time entry will not be enabled, and we will review the Work Diary in the Timesheet tab each work week before payment. Please use clear memos on each time segment describing the task you are working on. We will set a weekly hour limit on the contract based on the estimate in your proposal. If you expect to exceed your estimate, notify us before the additional hours are worked. REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated experience preparing self-cover or stapled booklets and multi-page catalogues for commercial print Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator, plus working knowledge of Canva exports Solid understanding of bleed, trim, safety margins, imposition, and CMYK conversion Strong written English for the proofreading portion Portfolio samples of printed multi-page work TIMELINE We are looking to complete this within 5 to 7 days of award, with one or two revision rounds.
