Presenter Skills SME (U.S.-based) — Assessment Review & Improvement
Worldwide
We are seeking a U.S.-based Subject Matter Expert with strong, practical experience in workplace presentation and communication skills to review and improve an existing pre-hire assessment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering presentations, training, or client-facing communication in a professional office setting, and understands what effective presentation skills look like for entry-level and administrative roles. Experience writing or reviewing training materials, employee assessments, or onboarding content is highly desirable. ________________________________________ Project Overview You will review an existing question bank (50 questions) focused on foundational presenter and communication skills relevant to administrative, customer support, and general office roles. The project includes editing, improving, and, where necessary, rewriting content to ensure clarity, practical relevance, and alignment with real workplace presentation and communication expectations for these roles. You will also develop an assessment blueprint describing the skills and competencies measured (template will be provided). ________________________________________ Responsibilities • Review an existing set of assessment questions. • Edit and improve questions for clarity, accuracy, and real-world relevance. • Rewrite questions when substantial revisions are needed. • Develop approximately 50% new questions to replace content that no longer meets quality or relevance standards. • Ensure the assessment reflects practical presenter and communication skills relevant to administrative, customer support, operations, and general office staff (e.g., verbal clarity, structuring information, audience awareness, handling questions, professional tone). • Incorporate basic professional communication norms and workplace etiquette where relevant. • Create an assessment blueprint outlining the competencies measured, topic coverage and weighting, and the rationale behind the assessment structure. Additional Responsibilities • Work in a Microsoft Word template to review, edit, and develop assessment questions. • Incorporate feedback and revisions as needed during the review process. ________________________________________ Goal The goal is to ensure the assessment is practical, clear, up-to-date, and suitable for pre-hire screening across entry-level, administrative, customer-facing roles, and general office staff that require basic-to-solid presenter and communication skills. Using our Test Blueprint template, as a final step, you will select a final set of 40 questions to serve as the completed assessment. ________________________________________ Requirements • Must be based in the United States. • Hands-on, professional experience with workplace presentations, training delivery, or client/customer-facing communication. • Experience developing, reviewing, or improving assessments, training materials, or onboarding/educational content — ideally for entry-level or administrative populations. • Understanding of job-relevant assessment design and content validity for pre-employment testing (background in HR, I/O Psychology, or talent assessment is a plus). • Comfortable working with Microsoft Word and Excel templates and following detailed formatting requirements. • Excellent written English skills. • Relevant certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, ATD, or equivalent verifiable experience in assessment development). ________________________________________ Deliverables • Revised and updated question set. • Newly developed questions with supporting materials (e.g., sample scenarios, scripts, or visuals) where needed (approximately 50% of the assessment). • Completed assessment blueprint. If gaps are identified, you may be asked to draft new questions for underrepresented topics and strengthen sections that lack sufficient coverage. (paid separately) ________________________________________ Cooperation Model Work will be conducted in close, ongoing collaboration with the Content Specialist. Regular consultations and feedback rounds are expected throughout all stages of the project. ________________________________________ Timeline Planned project duration: 3–4 weeks. ________________________________________ Before you begin Upon signing the contract, you will be asked to complete a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and our Ethical AI Use Guidelines. ________________________________________ When applying, please describe: • Your professional experience with workplace presentations, communication training, or client-facing roles. • Any relevant certifications you hold (e.g., HR, I/O Psychology, assessment design, SHRM). • Similar projects you have completed in the past.
