Product Designer — Anti-Theft Travel Bag (Soft Goods / Tech Pack + Innovative Zipper Lock) We're a growing travel accessories e-commerce brand developing a new premium anti-theft travel bag. We already have a manufacturing partner in Guangzhou — we now need an experienced soft-goods designer to turn our feature brief into a clean, production-ready design and tech pack the factory can build from. We're inspired by brands like Pacsafe, but we want our own identity and our own mechanisms — not a copy of any patented system. What we're building A sleek, modern anti-theft bag with these core features: - Cut-resistant shoulder strap (anti-slash) - RFID-blocking pocket/compartment - Lockable zippers — we want an original, intuitive locking mechanism (this is the key design challenge) - Waterproof / water-resistant fabric - Concealed zippers (only if it stays visually clean) - Versatile carry — wearable on both the back and the front/chest - A dedicated, secure phone pocket Scope & deliverables - Translate our feature brief into a finished product design - Design and propose an innovative, non-infringing zipper locking mechanism (the priority deliverable) - Material and component recommendations (fabric, zippers, hardware, mesh, etc.) - A complete tech pack ready for our factory: technical drawings, dimensions, BOM, construction details, callouts - Support during sampling and back-and-forth with the factory You're a great fit if you have - Proven experience designing bags / backpacks / soft goods (portfolio required) - Experience producing tech packs that factories manufacture from - A track record of solving hardware/mechanism problems creatively - Comfort communicating with overseas manufacturers - Bonus: experience with anti-theft or technical/travel gear To apply, please include 1.
