Product Designer for Specification Development

Product Designer / Mechanical Designer Needed for Manufacturer-Ready Product Development We are seeking an experienced Product Designer, Industrial Designer, or Mechanical Design Engineer to help transform an existing product concept into a manufacturer-ready design package. The product is a custom water ballast bladder system that fits inside an existing traffic barricade and interfaces with a fence post. We have concept sketches, dimensions, reference images, and preliminary design requirements. We are looking for someone who can take the concept through the next stage of development. Scope of Work Review existing concept sketches and dimensions Develop and optimize the product design Create 3D CAD models Produce dimensioned engineering drawings Recommend materials and manufacturing methods Create a manufacturer-ready specification package Assist with prototype development if needed Ideal Experience We're specifically looking for someone with experience designing physical products for manufacturing, preferably involving: Water bladders or flexible containment products TPU, PVC, or coated-fabric products Industrial or construction-related products Soft goods and sewn/welded assemblies Product development from concept to production Deliverables 3D CAD files Engineering drawings Material specifications Bill of Materials (BOM) Manufacturing recommendations Prototype-ready documentation When applying, please provide examples of similar products you have designed and brought to manufacturing.
