Product Development Consultant - Compression Wear & Sports Braces (Youth Focus)

We are a youth sports brand focused on injury prevention and recovery products for young athletes. Our flagship product is a youth compression knee sleeve sold primarily through Amazon. We're looking for an experienced product development consultant with expertise in apparel, compression wear, orthotics, braces, or wearable sports products. Project Goals We are experiencing a lot of returns and need someone who can help develop a professional sizing system for our brand. The project includes: - Evaluate our existing youth knee sleeve. If selected, we will send them to you. - Review elasticity, compression, and fit. - Compare our product to industry standards. - Determine the true recommended knee circumference, age, and weight for each size. - Recommend whether our current sizing is appropriate. - Recommend whether additional sizes (XS, L, etc.) should be added for ages 5-18. - Create a professional customer-facing sizing chart. - Recommend the best way for parents to measure their child's knee. - Review customer return reasons and identify sizing improvements. Bonus Experience Experience with: - Youth sports products - Compression garments - Braces or orthopedic products - Medical devices - Sports medicine - Manufacturing in China - Amazon product development By the end of the project I would like: - A professional customer-facing sizing guide with clear measurement instructions for parents. - Recommended sizing specifications for boys' and girls' youth knee sleeves, including appropriate knee circumference and suggested age ranges (5-18). - A tech pack with sizing, measurements, and fit requirements. - Product recommendations to improve fit, reduce returns, and increase customer satisfaction.- - A final review meeting to walk me through your recommendations and answer questions. About the Brand Our long-term goal is to build the leading youth recovery brand—not just sell a knee sleeve. This project is intended to create a scalable product development system that we can use across future products including ankle sleeves, recovery kits, braces, and other youth sports recovery solutions.
