Product Development & Materials Specialist

We are a growing premium baby clothing brand looking for a dependable Product Development & Materials Specialist based in China to become an extension of our team. Important: We already have established garment factories. We are not looking for someone to find factories. Instead, we’re looking for someone who can help us discover exceptional materials, trims, packaging, and product ideas while supporting our product development process. Location: China What You’ll Do * Source premium fabrics and textile mills. * Research and source new materials, trims, labels, buttons, snaps, zippers, ribbons, and accessories. * Source premium packaging including gift boxes, tissue paper, hang tags, garment bags, mailers, stickers, and branded accessories. * Discover innovative materials and ideas that elevate our collections. * Request and organize samples from suppliers. * Compare suppliers based on quality, pricing, MOQs, certifications, and lead times. * Communicate with our existing factories regarding materials and product development when needed. * Coordinate sample development and track progress. * Visit suppliers or textile markets when necessary. * Provide organized reports, photos, videos, and recommendations. * Continuously bring fresh ideas for fabrics, packaging, and premium product details. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply complete tasks—we want someone who enjoys discovering better ways to build premium products. The ideal candidate has: * Experience in baby or children’s apparel. * Strong English communication skills. * Excellent research and sourcing abilities. * Great taste in premium products and attention to detail. * A proactive, honest, and dependable work ethic. * The ability to think beyond simply following instructions by suggesting new ideas, materials, and improvements. * Experience sourcing fabrics, trims, packaging, or apparel accessories. * Existing relationships with textile mills or material suppliers are a strong advantage.
