Product Manager/ Product Reviewer /Evaluation with Primary School Education Experience FULL TIME

The Evaluator role at Good to Great Schools Australia (GGSA) is a key position supporting our mission as a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to partnering with schools and school systems to drive evidence-based school improvement—from Poor to Fair, Fair to Good, and Good to Great. We provide curriculum resources, professional learning, explicit teaching programs (including direct instruction approaches), and tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes, particularly in regional, remote, and disadvantaged communities across Australia. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Evaluator to lead and strengthen our evaluation efforts. This role combines strategic program evaluation with practical data handling and product improvement. The Evaluator will work alongside the Reporting and Evaluation Manager to implement the Evaluation Framework and translate data into clear, actionable insights. You will: Collaborate with management to support the review, alignment, and ongoing enhancement of GGSA's Evaluation Framework (covering Design, Technology, Monitoring, and Evaluation components). Contribute to the development and implementation of GGSA’s Evaluation Framework by applying structured, data-informed processes that draw on internal to ensure consistent monitoring, analysis, and continuous improvement. Support data extraction, in-depth analysis, interpretation, and the creation of concise reports, insights, and evidence-based recommendations on program effectiveness and impact. Contribute to formative and summative reporting, co-design evaluation tools, monitoring processes, and reporting frameworks in collaboration with internal teams (e.g., program delivery, marketing, developers) and external stakeholders (e.g., partner schools, funders). Translate high-level insights from meetings, desktop research, interviews, and stakeholder feedback into actionable requirements for program adjustments, new features, and continuous improvement initiatives. Adopt analytical, conceptual, and customer-focused thinking to review GGSA products and programs against our established methodology, incorporating marketing/customer perception data where relevant. Experience with direct instruction pedagogy or explicit teaching programs is highly regarded, as is familiarity with education program review and improvement in evidence-based contexts. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day evaluation activities, including data collection from SPT, professional learning courses, school feedback, and implementation monitoring. Support management to meet timelines for framework reviews, updates, and reporting deliverables (formative/summative). Produce high-quality, up-to-date evaluation documentation, impact statements, and reports that meet stakeholder needs and organisational standards. Provide leadership insights from evaluation findings to inform strategic decisions, program adjustments, and evidence-based impact demonstration. Review and recommend enhancements to data systems and tools for better capture, quality, and usability. Design evaluation approaches, key questions, indicators, and metrics; conduct quantitative/qualitative analysis of program impact (e.g., on teacher capability, student progress). Requirements Proven experience in program evaluation, product/program review, or related roles in education, research, or product development environments. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, interpret quantitative/qualitative data, and produce actionable insights and reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience translating complex discussions, executive visions, and stakeholder inputs into clear, detailed, high-standard documentation, requirements, and reports. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams (e.g., program, technology, marketing, school support) and with external partners. Independent work ethic, strong time management, and attention to detail—particularly with numbers, data, and framework alignment. MUST be available to work in AEST timezone, with at least 3 hours per day (flexibility for additional hours as needed to meet organisational goals). Possession of (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) a Blue Card and a successfully completed Police Check. Desirable Experience in education program evaluation using evidence-based or direct instruction methodologies. Understanding of the Australian education landscape, including political/legal frameworks, and/or knowledge of Cape York Peninsula, Indigenous communities, or remote/regional schooling contexts.
