Product Manager for Esports & community Platform

About Us.. Play Square is a new esports and gaming platform being developed in Saudi Arabia. Our mission is to empower gamers and tournament organizers with tools for esports tournament creation and management, social networking features, player performance history tracking, content upload, and potential live streaming and marketplace modules. The platform will be bilingual (Arabic & English) and integrate with payment gateways. We’re seeking a Product Manager to join our founding team and help us drive product development from MVP to full launch. Role & Responsibilities • Define, document, and prioritize product requirements (PRDs/BRDs, user stories, feature specs). • Work closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver Play Square’s phased roadmap. • Collaborate with the Founder to ensure features align with our esports vision. • Translate business goals into actionable product milestones. • Manage backlog, sprints, and product releases with clear deliverables. • Conduct market research on esports platforms and player behaviors to refine features. • Ensure UX/UI consistency in collaboration with design resources. Requirements • Proven experience as a Product Manager in tech startups (preferably gaming, esports, or social platforms). • Strong understanding of MVP development, agile methodologies, and product roadmapping. • Excellent communication skills (English required, Arabic a plus). • Ability to work with remote technical teams. • Passion for gaming and esports is highly preferred. Nice to Have • Familiarity with tournament management systems. • Experience in mobile-first products (React Native, Flutter, or similar stacks). • Exposure to gamification systems, rewards/loyalty, or online communities. Communication & Remote Work • How do you handle collaboration with remote development teams to ensure clear communication and timely delivery? 6. Problem-Solving • Imagine users complain about delays in tournament bracket updates during a live event. How would you investigate and resolve the issue from a product management perspective?
