Product Operations Manager — Payments & Subscription Ops (French Speaker) Contract: Freelance / Full-time Location: Remote Start date: ASAP Experience: 3–5 years French speaker: HUGE plus About the role We are looking for a highly execution-oriented Product Operations Manager to help scale and optimize a fast-growing payment ecosystem focused on subscription businesses. This is not a “corporate PM” role. We are looking for someone comfortable operating at the intersection of: Product Operations Payments Delivery The role is heavily focused on payment operations and performance: PSP orchestration subscription billing payment performance retries & recovery flows fraud & chargebacks payment incidents recurring billing optimization operational execution You will work closely with founders, engineering teams and payment partners to improve platform performance and merchant payment operations in a fast-moving startup environment. Responsibilities Coordinate product and operational projects related to payments and subscriptions Monitor and improve payment KPIs: acceptance rate success rate chargeback rate fraud rate retry/recovery rate Support PSP integrations and payment workflows Work closely with engineering teams on tickets, specs and delivery follow-up Help optimize recurring billing and payment recovery flows Manage payment incidents and operational escalations Identify bottlenecks and improve operational processes Collaborate with PSPs and external payment partners Use AI tools to improve workflows and operational execution Profile 3–5 years experience in Product Ops, Product Management, Payment Ops or fintech environments Hands-on exposure to payment-related topics: PSPs subscription billing recurring payments fraud chargebacks payment optimization Comfortable working in startup, scale-up or fast-moving digital environments Comfortable working with engineering and product teams Strong execution mindset KPI & data-driven Organized, autonomous and proactive Comfortable with context switching and fast iterations AI-first mindset is a strong plus Nice to have Experience with PSPs such as Stripe, Adyen, Checkout.com, etc. Experience with subscription/recurring businesses Exposure to multi-PSP or payment routing environments Background in SaaS, e-commerce or fintech French speaker is a very strong plus Why join us Fast-growing international environment High ownership and direct impact Highly operational role with direct exposure to payment strategy and product execution Remote-first culture Opportunity to work on complex subscription and payment infrastructure challenges
