Product Research & Sourcing Expert (UK Marketplaces & China Sourcing)

Job Overview We are a well-established UK e-commerce business looking for an experienced Product Research & Sourcing Specialist to identify high-demand furniture and home products for the UK market. This is not a virtual assistant role. We are looking for someone who can work independently, make data-driven decisions, and continuously discover profitable products with minimal guidance. If you have successfully sourced products for UK marketplaces before and know how to analyse market demand using professional research tools, we would like to hear from you. Responsibilities Your role will include: Researching high-demand products across UK marketplaces. Analysing sales trends, demand, competition, pricing, and profitability. Using professional research tools such as: Terapeak Jungle Scout Helium 10 Keepa Similar tools for marketplace research Finding products with strong sales potential before they become saturated. Comparing products across multiple UK marketplaces including: Amazon UK eBay UK Wayfair B&Q Marketplace The Range Marketplace Tesco Marketplace Debenhams Marketplace OnBuy Other relevant UK marketplaces Identifying opportunities where demand exceeds supply. Calculating estimated margins, landed costs, and expected profitability. Finding reliable manufacturers and suppliers in China through Alibaba, Made-in-China, Global Sources, or direct factory contacts. Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best pricing. Producing detailed reports with clear recommendations on which products should be imported. What We're Looking For You should: Have proven experience researching products for the UK e-commerce market. Be highly experienced in product sourcing from China. Understand UK consumer buying trends. Be able to identify winning products using data rather than guesswork. Work independently without requiring step-by-step guidance. Have excellent analytical skills. Be experienced with Excel or Google Sheets. Have strong English communication skills. Preferred Experience Experience selling or sourcing products for: Amazon UK eBay UK Wayfair B&Q The Range Tesco Debenhams Other UK online retailers Knowledge of importing from China and supplier negotiations is essential.
