Product photo editor
Worldwide
We are First11, an online store specialising in authentic vintage and modern football shirts. Every Thursday, we release between 80 and 120 new football shirts on our website. We are looking for a reliable photo editor who can edit our product photos every Wednesday, so they are ready for our weekly product drop. The work Each shirt is photographed four times: Front Back Zoom 1 Zoom 2 This means you will usually edit between 320 and 480 images per week. We expect the weekly editing work to take approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of shirts and the quality of the original photos. Your tasks will include: Adjusting white balance and exposure Correcting colours so the shirts look accurate Creating a consistent look across all product photos Correcting differences in lighting between images Applying consistent positioning and cropping Straightening images where necessary Exporting the images using our required settings Checking the full batch before delivery The photos will be edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic. Important: the original photos are not always perfect We do not work with a fully professional photography studio. Because of this, the original camera photos can vary in quality. Some photos may already have good lighting, while others may be too dark, too bright or inconsistent in colour. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with imperfect source images and who can still create a clean and consistent end result across the full batch. We understand that not every photo can be made perfect. The most important goals are accurate shirt colours, consistent exposure and a professional overall appearance for our webshop. Our current PhotoRoom workflow After the images have been edited in Lightroom Classic, they are processed through the PhotoRoom API. PhotoRoom removes the original background, adds a consistent light grey background and places the shirt correctly on a square canvas. This part of our workflow is very reliable and produces consistent results, which is important because we process hundreds of images every week. The main downside is that the additional processing can reduce the final image quality. The PhotoRoom API also costs us approximately €100 per month. We are not necessarily looking to replace PhotoRoom, as reliability and consistency are very important to us. However, we are interested in someone who can provide input on this workflow. We would be open to discussing an alternative workflow, but only if it can offer the same level of reliability and consistency. Weekly deadline The original photos will usually be available on Wednesday. All edited photos must be completed and returned on Wednesday, as the products go live every Thursday. We are looking for a long-term collaboration with the same editor every week. Let's discuss it in a call :)
