Production Manager for Podcasts

Production Manager Unbroken Business Support Group (UBSG) Remote | Part-Time, ~20 hours/week About Unbroken Business Support Group Unbroken Business Support Group helps business owners turn podcasting into a real growth engine for their business. Our Platinum partners are our highest-tier, done-for-you clients: we handle the full production cycle of their show, from guest sourcing through editing to publishing, on their behalf. The Production Manager is the person who makes sure that entire pipeline runs like clockwork for every single Platinum client, every single week. Position Summary The Production Manager owns the day-to-day production operation for our Platinum, done-for-you podcast clients. You will oversee the full production process, editing, guest/content sourcing, quality control, and publishing, and you will personally handle parts of that production when needed. You will lead and direct the people involved in production, keep every client's show on schedule and on brand, and catch problems before they become client-facing issues. This role requires someone who already knows how to run a production operation. We need a high level of ownership and critical thinking from day one; this is not a role where we have the bandwidth for extensive ramp-up or hand-holding. You should be able to walk into an unfamiliar workflow, understand it quickly, spot what's broken, and fix it. This is currently a part-time role at approximately 20 hours per week, with room to grow as our Platinum client roster expands. Key Responsibilities Production Oversight - Own the end-to-end production pipeline for all Platinum, done-for-you podcast clients: sourcing, recording coordination, editing, quality review, and publishing. - Personally produce or edit content directly when volume or timing requires it, not just delegate and oversee. - Ensure every client's episodes stay on schedule and consistent with their brand voice, format, and quality standard. - Build and maintain production checklists, SOPs, and workflows so quality stays consistent as volume grows. Quality Control - Review episodes and deliverables before they go out to catch errors, inconsistencies, or anything that doesn't meet our quality bar. - Run the Q&A/review process for each client's production, confirming edits, guest content, and final cuts meet expectations before publishing. - Identify recurring quality issues and fix the underlying process, not just the individual mistake. Team Leadership - Direct and coordinate the people involved in production (editors, sourcing support, and other production contributors). - Set clear expectations, deadlines, and quality standards for anyone working on production, and hold the team to them. - Troubleshoot bottlenecks or breakdowns in the production process and resolve them quickly. Client Delivery - Make sure every Platinum client's show ships on time, every time, with no dropped balls. - Flag any client at risk of falling behind schedule early, and course-correct before it becomes a problem. - Serve as the internal point of accountability for production quality and timeliness across the full Platinum roster. Requirements and Qualifications - Proven experience managing or leading a production team, ideally in podcasting, audio/video content, or media production. - Direct, hands-on experience with the podcast production process: editing, publishing, and content/guest sourcing. - Extremely strong attention to detail, with a track record of catching errors before they reach the client. - Sharp critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills. You should be able to diagnose and fix production issues without being walked through it step by step. - Experience managing people, timelines, and quality standards simultaneously, under real deadline pressure. - Comfortable stepping in to do production work directly, not only managing from a distance. - Strong organizational systems for tracking multiple clients and deadlines at once. - High-level, hands-on proficiency in our core production and operations stack, with minimal to no ramp-up time needed: - Riverside for remote recording - PodPage for podcast website management - RedCircle for podcast hosting, distribution, and publishing - Google Drive for file organization and team collaboration - ClickUp for project and task management across clients - GoHighLevel (GHL) for client and workflow management You should already be fluent in these tools or their direct equivalents; we don't have the bandwidth to train someone from scratch on the core stack. Preferred (Nice to Have) - Experience running production for multiple clients or shows simultaneously (agency, network, or done-for-you production background). - Familiarity with the coaching, consulting, or entrepreneurship content space. - Experience building or refining SOPs and quality-control checklists for a production team. How Success Is Measured - On-time delivery rate across all Platinum clients. - Error/quality-issue rate caught internally versus caught by the client. - Production team output and adherence to deadlines. - Client satisfaction and retention on the Platinum tier.
