Production and Logistics Manager

China-Based Production Manager (English & Japanese Speaking) Location: Mainland China (Remote / Factory-Based Travel Required) Wonderland LLC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager based in China to support our rapidly growing international business across live entertainment merchandise, fashion, licensed consumer products, and retail initiatives. This individual will serve as Wonderland's trusted on-the-ground representative in China, working closely with our Japan and international teams to manage sourcing, production, quality control, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Chinese factories and suppliers and possess strong English and Japanese language capabilities to communicate effectively with both manufacturing partners and our Japanese headquarters. This is a hands-on role requiring regular factory visits, supplier negotiations, and active project management from product development through to final delivery. Key Responsibilities Source and identify suitable factories and manufacturing partners across China for apparel, accessories, packaging, and consumer products. Conduct factory visits and capability assessments, including production audits, quality inspections, and compliance evaluations. Manage product development processes including sampling, material sourcing, and production approvals. Coordinate production schedules and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers and manufacturers. Oversee quality assurance procedures during production and prior to shipment. Provide detailed production updates, factory visit reports, and recommendations to the Wonderland team. Coordinate domestic and international logistics, including shipping arrangements, export documentation, customs requirements, and delivery schedules. Act as the primary liaison between factories, freight forwarders, and Wonderland's Japan office. Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing, quality, and supply chain issues as they arise. Maintain and develop long-term relationships with trusted manufacturing and logistics partners throughout China. Requirements Fluent in English and Japanese (spoken and written). Mandarin Chinese fluency is essential. Currently based in Mainland China with the ability to travel regularly to manufacturing facilities. Minimum five years of experience in production management, sourcing, supply chain management, or international procurement. Strong understanding of apparel, merchandise, and consumer product manufacturing processes. Experience working with Japanese companies or international clients is highly preferred. Knowledge of international logistics, customs procedures, and export documentation. Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience Fashion and apparel manufacturing.
