Project Overview We are seeking an experienced book layout designer to transform a completed manuscript into a professionally designed, publication-ready guide. This project involves a 300+ page text-heavy premium guide, delivered as a single, clean .docx file exported from Scrivener. The goal is to create a refined, highly readable layout with strong typography, structure, and visual consistency suitable for long-form reading. ### Requirements * Expert-level proficiency in Affinity Publisher (required) * Experience designing long-form books, guides, manuals, or editorial publications * Strong understanding of: * Typography and readability * Editorial design principles * Page hierarchy and document structure * Professional print and digital formatting * Consistent styling across large documents * Ability to work from a finalized manuscript and build a polished layout system ### Scope of Work * Import and structure the provided .docx manuscript * Design and format a professional interior layout for 300+ pages * Establish typography styles, heading systems, spacing, and page consistency * Create a premium reading experience for a text-heavy publication * Deliver print-ready and/or digital-ready export files * Maintain attention to detail throughout the entire document ### Preferred Experience Please include: * Portfolio examples of books, guides, reports, or long-form editorial projects * Samples demonstrating Affinity Publisher work * Relevant experience handling projects with 200+ pages Please note: We are specifically looking for professional editorial and publication designers — Canva-only portfolios will not be considered.
