Professional Clip Finder
Worldwide
About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented clip researcher to source supporting footage, b-roll, game highlights, and archival clips that match scripts for our basketball YouTube channel. You'll work closely with the script/editing process to find visuals that enhance storytelling, keep viewers engaged, and fit our channel's style. What You'll Do Read finished scripts (or script segments) and identify moments that need supporting visuals Search for and source relevant clips, b-roll, archival footage, and stock video that match the tone and content of each scene Organize clips clearly (timestamped, labeled, and linked to the corresponding script line/section) Verify licensing status for every clip (royalty-free, Creative Commons, fair use, or properly licensed) and flag anything with copyright risk Deliver an organized folder or spreadsheet of clip options per video, usually with 2–3 alternatives per moment Communicate with the editor/creator about gaps where footage doesn't exist or needs a workaround (e.g., stock substitute, motion graphic, etc.) Meet video turnaround deadlines What We're Looking For Experience with video research, editing, or content curation (YouTube experience a strong plus) Familiarity with stock/archival platforms (e.g., Pexels, Storyblocks, Artgrid, Getty, Internet Archive, YouTube's Creative Commons library, etc.) as well as basketball-specific sources (NBA.com/League Pass clips, team broadcasts, YouTube highlight channels, sports archives) Solid understanding of copyright, fair use, and licensing basics for YouTube monetization Strong research skills — able to find specific, relevant footage quickly, not just generic stock clips Good eye for pacing and visual storytelling (can sense what a scene "needs") Comfortable using shared drives, spreadsheets, or project management tools to stay organized Reliable communication and ability to hit deadlines Nice to Have Basic video editing skills (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, etc.) Experience working with scriptwriters or content teams Strong knowledge of basketball (NBA/NCAA/other leagues) — players, teams, eras, and iconic moments Details Type: Full-Time Start: [Immediate / date] How to Apply Start your application with the word RED so we know you read the full posting. Then please send: A brief note on your experience with clip research or video content 1–2 examples of past work (a video you sourced clips for, or a sample clip package) Your availability We're excited to find someone who loves digging for the perfect clip as much as we do!
