# Project Manager – Accounting Platform Layer (APL) **Location:** Bangalore (Onsite) **Experience:** 5–6 Years **Joining Date:** 21 August 2026 **Engagement:** Project-Based / Contract ## About the Role We are looking for an experienced **Project Manager** to lead the successful delivery of an **Accounting Platform Layer (APL)** designed to automate accounting, reconciliation, GST computation and validation, and financial reporting across multiple business verticals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end project delivery while coordinating closely with **Finance, Engineering, QA, and external implementation partners** to ensure accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial operations. ## Key Responsibilities ### 1. Project Planning & Delivery * Own end-to-end project plans, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables. * Track implementation across accounting automation, reconciliation, GST validation, and reporting workstreams. * Drive phase-wise sign-offs across **Requirements, Design, Development, UAT, Go-Live, and Hypercare**. * Ensure timely delivery and proactively address project risks and blockers. ### 2. Stakeholder & Vendor Management * Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Engineering, QA, and external implementation partners. * Facilitate project reviews, status meetings, and stakeholder updates. * Manage cross-functional dependencies and drive timely resolution of issues. * Maintain clear communication and alignment across business and technology teams. ### 3. Reconciliation & Accounting Automation Track implementation and delivery of automated reconciliation processes, including: * Payment Gateway Reconciliation * Payment Gateway Charges Reconciliation * Airline/BSP Reconciliation * Hotel Statement Reconciliation * Gift Card Reconciliation * DA vs NAV Reconciliation Ensure processes meet defined business and compliance requirements and support **zero-variance reconciliation objectives**. ### 4. GST & Financial Compliance * Coordinate GST computation and validation requirements covering **CGST, SGST, and IGST**. * Track validation of markups, convenience fees, service fees, and commission components. * Ensure alignment with applicable taxation, accounting, and financial reporting requirements. ### 5. Data Migration & System Integration * Manage migration of historical accounting and transaction data. * Coordinate integrations between APL, ERP systems, financial systems, and data warehouses. * Track integration milestones, dependencies, data validation, and reconciliation activities. ### 6. Reporting, Governance & Risk Management Drive delivery of key business and financial reports, including: * Order-to-Cash Reports * Ageing Reports * GMV Reports * P&L Reports * Exception Reports * Operational Dashboards Additionally: * Maintain RAID logs covering Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies. * Monitor and proactively escalate project risks. * Ensure proper documentation of requirements, mappings, and source-of-truth definitions. ## Required Skills & Experience * 5–6 years of relevant project management experience. * Experience managing **technology, accounting, ERP, finance, or data platform projects**. * Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including: * Debit/Credit * General Ledger * Reconciliation * Control Accounts * Ageing * Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills. * Hands-on experience with project management tools such as **JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Excel, or Smartsheet**. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to translate business requirements into actionable project plans and deliverables. * Basic understanding of **GST and taxation concepts**. * Working experience with **Scrum / Agile methodologies**. * Strong leadership, ownership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. ## Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following domains is highly desirable: * Travel & Hospitality * E-commerce * Fintech * Payments Additional exposure to: * Accounting automation initiatives * Reconciliation platforms * Finance transformation programs * API integrations and data platforms * ERP platforms such as **Microsoft Navision / Dynamics NAV** or **Oracle Fusion** **Preferred Certifications:** CSM, PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent. ## Ideal Candidate * Highly organized with strong project management capabilities. * Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions. * Detail-oriented with a strong focus on financial accuracy and compliance. * Strong risk-management and problem-solving mindset. * Capable of independently driving projects from planning through go-live and hypercare. * Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. * Excellent documentation, communication, coordination, and reporting skills. ## Important Details **Work Location:** Bangalore – Onsite **Experience:** 5–6 Years **Joining:** 21 August 2026 **Availability:** Immediate / Candidates who can join by the specified date preferred. **To Apply:** Please share your updated CV along with your relevant project experience, current location, availability, and expected hourly/project rate.
