About Break Bread Consulting We are an IT consultancy built specifically for hospitality. We help restaurant groups, hotels, and multi-concept operators achieve operational excellence through technology that actually fits how their business runs. Our team is small, senior, and fully remote. Every person owns their work. The role We are hiring a Project Success Lead to own our small and mid-sized implementations end to end. Think single properties and four to eight location groups: a Craftable rollout, an R365 build, an invoice mapping cleanup, a POS migration. This is a hybrid role and that is the point. You manage the project and you do the configuration. You will be inside Craftable, Restaurant365, Fourth, and Toast building item and vendor lists, mapping invoices to the right GL accounts, correcting recipes and depletions, administering users, and validating counts. Then you turn around and explain what you built to a chef, a GM, and a controller in the language each of them uses. You will own your engagements outright and support our senior leads on the larger enterprise accounts. What you will do Own your projects. Take the handoff after a proposal signs, schedule the kickoff, set the cadence, and drive to a defined finish. Every conversation ends with a next step attached to a specific time. Configure the systems. Hands-on build and cleanup: item and vendor lists, invoice and charge mapping to GL accounts, recipe and depletion corrections, user administration, location and store setup, count sheets, audit validation. Run the client relationship. Primary point of contact from store level to director level. Write the status updates. Manage expectations. Surface problems early rather than at go-live. Train and enable. Build training materials and deliver live training to GMs, chefs, corporate teams, and finance. Adoption is part of the deliverable. Push the vendors. Hold Craftable, Fourth, R365, and Toast implementation teams to committed dates and requested resources. Direct, persistent, and without burning the relationship. Support the larger accounts. Pick up defined workstreams on our enterprise engagements alongside our senior leads. Close the loop. Review results after the period closes, confirm the fix landed, document what changed. What we require US based. Able to work core US business hours. Hospitality industry background. This one is not negotiable. Restaurant or hotel operations, multi-unit management, or hospitality technology implementation. You need to know what a Friday night looks like from the inside. Back-of-house financial fluency. Comfortable with GL mapping, COGS, invoice coding, recipe costing, inventory counts, and period close. You do not need to be an accountant, but you need to hold a real conversation with a controller. Hands-on system experience. You have configured hospitality platforms yourself, not just managed someone who did. Project management ability. You can run two or three engagements at once, keep the cadence on all of them, and manage timelines, stakeholders, and risk without being chased. Training experience. A track record of training hospitality staff on new systems. Client relations. Exceptional written and verbal communication. Our clients are executives, GMs, and finance leaders, and they read what you send. Tooling and discipline. Fluent in project tracking tools (ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Smartsheet, or similar), Google Workspace, and spreadsheets. Time gets logged against the client it belongs to, every week. Availability. Able to start within two weeks and pick up live projects quickly. What moves you to the top of the pile Hands-on configuration or rollout experience with Craftable, Restaurant365, Toast, Fourth, HotSchedules, Aloha, Micros, Crunchtime, MarginEdge, or Tripleseat Multi-unit rollout experience Commissary, central kitchen, or multi-warehouse inventory experience Hotel F&B experience alongside standalone restaurants Experience on the vendor side of a hospitality tech implementation Comfort using AI tools in your daily workflow Why join us Real ownership. These are your projects. There are no layers between you and the decision. Collaborative team. Small, senior, and focused on continuous improvement. You will have experienced leads to learn the enterprise work from. Flexible remote work. Lead meaningful projects on a schedule that works for you. Room to grow. Starting at roughly 20 hours per week with a clear path to larger engagements and a permanent full-time role for the right person. Screening questions Describe your hospitality background. Include roles held, concept or property type, and number of locations you supported. Which hospitality platforms have you personally configured, not just used? List them and rate yourself beginner, working, or expert on each. Walk me through one implementation you owned end to end. What system, how many locations, what was your specific role, and what went wrong? Describe your experience with invoice or GL mapping, recipe costing, or inventory count setup. Be specific about what you built. A client's finance team has not sent the GL structure you need and the count date is in four days. What do you do? What is your current weekly availability and time zone, and what other commitments do you have?
