Proofread Children's Stories

We are looking for a native American English speaker to proofread 12 children's stories about future inventions, including robots, portals, and space travel, written for children ages 4–8. The stories contain approximately 8,200 words in total and have already been reviewed by AI. We now need a human proofreader to catch anything AI may have missed and ensure the text is natural, grammatically correct, and culturally appropriate for an American audience. Requirements: Native American English speaker Excellent grammar and attention to detail Experience proofreading or editing children's literature is preferred Ability to identify awkward phrasing, punctuation, consistency, and cultural/linguistic issues The task is proofreading rather than rewriting.
