Only freelancers located in the U.S. may apply.U.S. located freelancers only
We are looking for an experienced Proposal Graphics & Visual Design Consultant to support U.S. Government proposals on an ongoing, on-call basis. This is not a general graphic design assignment. We need someone who understands how to turn complex technical, management, staffing, and national security concepts into clear, persuasive proposal graphics. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Create proposal graphics, diagrams, process flows, org charts, timelines, callout boxes, and page layouts. * Develop a reusable library of editable proposal graphics and templates, potentially in Canva and PowerPoint. * Translate dense written concepts into visuals that evaluators can understand quickly. * Establish consistent standards for typography, color, icons, imagery, and layout. * Review proposal pages and recommend where graphics can strengthen or replace text. * Provide rapid-turn support during active proposals, including last-minute edits. * Help refine our visual identity and branding guidelines as needed. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Significant experience creating graphics for **U.S. Government proposals**. * Experience supporting federal contractors, ideally in **defense, national security, intelligence, foreign affairs, or related sectors**. * Exceptional visual judgment and obsessive attention to detail. * Strong information-design and visual-storytelling skills. * Ability to explain *why* a particular layout, font, color, or visual treatment works. * Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools. * Excellent customer service and responsiveness. * Ability to work substantially within **U.S. Eastern Time** and respond quickly when proposal deadlines require it. TO APPLY, PLEASE PROVIDE 1. A portfolio with relevant proposal graphics. 2. Examples of work for government contractors or similarly complex professional-services organizations. 3. Your typical availability and turnaround time. 4. Your hourly rate or preferred pricing structure. 5. At least one reference or testimonial that speaks specifically to your **speed, responsiveness, quality, and customer service**. We expect this to be an ongoing relationship with intermittent assignments and periods of intensive support around major proposal deadlines.
