Proposal Manager to manage the proposal lifecycle from RFP research, RFP identification, proposal development, team composition, and pricing. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective proposal delivery. Experience in managing and developing technical proposals from start to finish is essential. POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: This position supports the organization through comprehensive proposal writing, proposal coordination, and client relationship management. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Research and analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and grant opportunities • Write, edit, and format proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with submission requirements • Manage all phases of the proposal process, including strategy, development, review, and submission • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical input and create compelling responses • Maintain a proposal content library, ensuring templates and branding guidelines are current • Develop and track proposal schedules, deliverable deadlines, and resource allocation • Manage cross-departmental communication to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time • Coordinate kickoff meetings, progress check-ins, and post-submission reviews • Track and report proposal outcomes and metrics to leadership • Support contract development, client onboarding, and initial project setup • Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and client communications • Oversee document control for all proposal and project files • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain up-to-date market research • Assist in quality assurance reviews and compliance checks • Complete other assigned tasks and strategic initiatives as required MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field • 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing • Strong project coordination experience with a proven record of meeting deadlines KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on persuasive and professional writing • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat • Familiarity with proposal management software • Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all organizational levels • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality • Strategic thinker with a strong sense of ownership and accountability • Commitment to excellence and delivering high-quality outcomes
