HELP WANTED: Community Outreach & Event Coordinator (Part-Time/Contract) Organization: Awakeness™ by Sharon Pellom Location: Atlanta/Decatur, Georgia (Hybrid/Flexible) About Us Awakeness™ is a growing awareness-based educational platform offering books, assessments, workshops, podcasts, youth programs, and community outreach initiatives designed to help individuals improve self-awareness, personal responsibility, communication, and decision-making. Position Overview We are seeking an energetic and relationship-oriented Community Outreach & Event Coordinator to help expand awareness of the Awakeness™ brand and increase attendance at book signings, workshops, speaking engagements, and community events. Responsibilities • Identify and secure book-signing opportunities • Contact bookstores, libraries, churches, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations • Coordinate event schedules with venue managers • Promote events through community outreach and networking • Recruit attendees for book signings and workshops • Assist with event logistics, including banners, tables, and promotional materials • Build partnerships with educational and community organizations • Support speaker and workshop bookings Ideal Candidate • Strong communication and networking skills • Experience in community outreach, event planning, public relations, marketing, or nonprofit engagement • Self-motivated and organized • Comfortable making phone calls and developing community relationships • Passion for education, personal growth, and community impact Compensation Commission or per-event arrangements will be considered based on experience.
