Publishing Industry Talent Sourcer

We are looking for an experienced publishing industry professional who can help us identify, source, and evaluate specialized talent across different areas of publishing production. The ideal candidate has a strong network within the publishing industry and understands how publishing workflows are organized—from manuscript preparation and editorial work to production, typesetting, indexing, proofreading, artwork, digital publishing, and final delivery. A background in HR, recruitment, or talent acquisition is a strong advantage. However, we are also interested in publishing professionals, production managers, project managers, consultants, or industry insiders who have the knowledge and connections needed to locate highly qualified specialists. Scope of Work The selected freelancer may be asked to: Help us define the profiles of the specialists we need. Identify and approach suitable candidates within the publishing industry. Source freelance professionals, consultants, or production experts. Conduct initial screening and assess candidates’ relevant experience. Prepare a shortlist of qualified candidates. Provide recommendations based on technical expertise, reliability, availability, and industry reputation. Help us reach specialists who may not be actively looking for work or present on standard freelance platforms. This is not necessarily a traditional recruitment role. We are particularly interested in people who understand the publishing industry well enough to identify the right specialists and evaluate whether their experience matches our needs. Engagement This will initially be a project-based engagement, with the possibility of ongoing cooperation if the collaboration is successful.
