Project Summary I am seeking an experienced AI/Python developer to build an MVP web application that automates the collection, organization, and analysis of publicly available government records. The platform will help researchers efficiently search, organize, and review information from multiple public sources. It is intended as a research productivity tool that summarizes public records and highlights potentially related records for human review. The application must use publicly available information and comply with applicable laws, website Terms of Service, and available APIs. Project Goals Build a web application that can: Collect publicly available records from configurable sources Normalize and organize structured information Identify potentially related records using AI-assisted matching Produce concise research summaries Present results in a user-friendly dashboard Core Features Public Record Collection Create a modular system that can import publicly available records from approved sources. Examples include: Court filings Probate filings Public notices Government databases Publicly accessible documents CSV imports PDF documents The system should be designed so additional data sources can be added later. Document Processing The application should: Extract text from PDFs Perform OCR when necessary Identify key entities such as names, dates, locations, and organizations Store structured data for later searching AI-Assisted Record Matching Develop an AI-assisted matching engine that helps identify records that may relate to the same individual or entity. Examples of comparison fields include: Name similarity Address similarity Dates Geographic information Other publicly available identifiers The application should generate a confidence score to assist human review. The final determination should always be made by the user. Research Summary Generation Generate a concise report summarizing: Source documents reviewed Key entities identified Potentially related records Confidence score Supporting rationale Links to original public records Search Dashboard Provide a simple web interface including: Search Filter Saved searches Research history Notes Record review workflow Technology Preferences Preferred stack: Backend Python FastAPI AI OpenAI API LangGraph (or similar orchestration framework) Database PostgreSQL Frontend React Next.js Deployment Docker Deliverables The completed MVP should include: Source code Database schema AI workflows REST API Docker deployment Installation guide User documentation Preferred Experience Please apply only if you have experience with one or more of the following: Python AI applications LLM integration OCR Document processing Public records research Entity resolution Information retrieval FastAPI React Please include examples of similar AI automation or document analysis projects.
