Python Developer for Cobot App

**Python Developer – HMI Application for Doosan Cobot (Sanding Operation)** We're looking for a Python developer to build an external HMI (Human-Machine Interface) application that connects to and controls our Doosan cobot for a kitchen cabinet door sanding operation. **Project Overview:** The core robot programming is already complete — motion planning, path generation, and force control are fully developed and functional. We need a developer to build the front-end/HMI application that interfaces with this existing backend, plus some light backend code cleanup and polishing. **Scope of Work:** - Build an external HMI application (screen/interface) to control and monitor the Doosan cobot - Integrate the HMI with our existing Python backend (motion, path planning, and force control already developed) - Implement a set of features/screens that we will specify (UI elements, controls, status displays, etc.) - Light cleanup, refactoring, and polishing of existing backend Python code **Requirements:** - Strong Python programming skills (must-have) - Experience building HMI/GUI applications (PyQt, Tkinter, Kivy, or similar) - Experience integrating software with robotic controllers or industrial equipment **Nice to Have:** - Experience with Doosan Robotics DRL - Prior cobot/robot HMI development experience - Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP with robot controllers) **Deliverables:** - Working HMI application connected to the Doosan cobot, with specified features implemented - Cleaned-up/refactored backend code where applicable - Brief setup/usage documentation **To Apply:** Share examples of HMI/GUI apps you've built in Python, and any robot/industrial controller integration experience.
