Quality Assurance Specialist – Internal Auditor

Position Summary Conduct objective internal audits across firm departments, evaluate compliance with policies and procedures, identify operational and control risks, and help leadership strengthen accountability and performance. Key Responsibilities • Complete risk-based audits of legal operations, intake, sales, client service, administration, finance processes, and other assigned functions. • Review calls, system records, transactions, supporting documentation, and employee adherence to approved procedures. • Test controls and evaluate the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency of departmental work. • Document evidence, findings, root causes, risk levels, and recommended corrective actions. • Present objective findings, track remediation, and identify recurring trends while protecting confidentiality and auditor independence. Required Qualifications • Three or more years of internal audit, quality assurance, compliance, risk, accounting controls, or process-review experience. • Strong investigative, analytical, interviewing, documentation, and report-writing skills. • Ability to evaluate evidence objectively and identify isolated errors, control weaknesses, and systemic risk. • Advanced Excel/reporting skills, exceptional discretion, and confidence presenting sensitive findings. Preferred Qualifications • Regulated, legal, or professional-services experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree. • CIA, CISA, CPA, CFE, or quality-management certification. • Experience auditing case-management or CRM systems; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
