Quality Assurance Testing for an AI-powered Voice creation platform in Nigerian languages

We are seeking experienced software testers to conduct a structured, end-to-end quality assurance review of an AI-powered platform for voice, audio transcription, voice cloning, content animation and multilingual media creation. The platform supports English and selected Nigerian languages, including Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo and Nigerian Pidgin. Testing will cover usability, functionality, output quality, performance, error handling and the overall user experience across desktop and mobile environments. This is a short-term, fixed-scope engagement ahead of a major product release. Selected testers will work with a detailed test tracker containing predefined scenarios, expected outcomes and reporting requirements. We are hiring testers under two distinct tracks. Applicants should apply only for the track that best matches their experience. Track A: Web Application and Multilingual User Testing We require three to four testers to evaluate the web application from the perspective of real users. The testing scope will include: Landing pages and general navigation User registration and onboarding Login, logout and account recovery User dashboard and account settings Voice generation and voiceover workflows Audio transcription Voice-cloning workflows Content-animation features AI-assisted explanation and content-generation modules File uploads, downloads and exports Billing, subscription and payment workflows Responsive behaviour across desktop and mobile devices Browser compatibility Error messages, loading states and failed-job recovery Usability, clarity and overall customer experience Quality of generated voice, audio, transcription and other outputs Testers will also rate generated outputs on a defined scale and provide structured comments on pronunciation, naturalness, accuracy, relevance and usability. Track A Requirements Applicants must have: Previous experience in software QA, product testing or user acceptance testing Strong attention to detail Ability to follow predefined test cases accurately Experience documenting defects and reproduction steps Access to a desktop or laptop computer Access to an Android or iOS mobile phone A reliable internet connection Ability to record short screen videos or provide clear screenshots Applicants must be fluent in at least one of the following: English Yoruba Hausa Igbo Nigerian Pidgin Preference will be given to testers who can assess more than one language and who have previously tested AI, speech, audio, localisation or multilingual applications. Track B: REST API and SDK Testing We require up to five technically experienced testers to evaluate the platform’s REST API and its Python and Node.js SDKs. The testing scope will include: API authentication and access controls Request and response validation HTTP methods and status codes Core service endpoints File and audio uploads Asynchronous job processing Job-status polling Webhooks and callback handling Input validation and malformed requests Error handling and error-message clarity Rate limits and timeout behaviour SDK installation and configuration Python SDK functionality Node.js SDK functionality Code examples and documentation accuracy Performance under normal and repeated requests Basic security and unauthorised-access testing Consistency between API behaviour, SDK behaviour and documentation Track B Requirements Applicants must have: Practical experience testing REST APIs Strong understanding of HTTP methods, authentication headers and response codes Experience using Postman, curl or similar tools Ability to read and interpret API documentation Ability to write short test scripts Working knowledge of Python 3.10+ or Node.js 18+ Understanding of asynchronous jobs and webhooks Ability to interpret logs and technical error responses Experience documenting reproducible technical defects Experience with AI APIs, speech technologies, audio processing, SDK testing or open-source software testing will be an advantage. Deliverables Each tester will receive a structured Excel test tracker with assigned test cases. For every assigned test case, the tester will be required to: Execute the test exactly as described Record the result as Pass, Fail or Blocked Document the actual behaviour State the expected behaviour Provide clear steps to reproduce every defect Record the testing device, browser, operating system or development environment Attach relevant screenshots Provide short video evidence where useful Enter confirmed defects into the shared defect log Comment on usability, performance or output quality Identify any issue not already covered by the predefined test cases At completion, each tester must submit: A fully completed test tracker All supporting screenshots and recordings A properly completed defect log A concise summary of the three most important findings An overall assessment of product readiness within the assigned scope Incomplete trackers, undocumented failures or issues without reproducible steps will not be accepted. Duration and Availability Engagement duration: 10 business days Track A workload: approximately 25–35 hours, depending on assigned language coverage Track B workload: approximately 20–25 hours Part-time participation is acceptable All assigned testing must be completed within the agreed 10-business-day window Testers must be available for a short onboarding session before work begins Contract and Payment This is a fixed-fee contract. Payment will be released after: Completion of the assigned scope Submission of all required evidence Review of the completed tracker Acceptance of the final deliverables Applicants should provide their expected fixed fee for the selected track. Testers will receive access to a pre-release environment and may encounter confidential or unreleased features. Selected candidates will therefore be required to sign a confidentiality agreement before access is granted.
