Quality Assurance and System Testing of ERP Software

Project description (main post) We are buildingGezana ERP, a full enterprise resource planning (ERP) web application for real business operations—not a demo app. The stack is Angular (frontend), ASP.NET Core / .NET 8 (API), and SQL Server. Modules include HR & payroll, attendance & leave, employee loans & advances, expense claims, accounting / financial integration, procurement, inventory, sales, and more. We need a detail-oriented QA tester to help us validate features before release: find bugs, test workflows end-to-end, and document issues clearly so developers can fix them fast. What you will do Execute manual functional testing on web UI flows (create, edit, approve, reject, delete, reports). Test critical business paths, for example: Employee onboarding → pay grade → payroll run → payslip / payroll reports Leave request → approval → balance updates Expense claim (direct payment vs payroll reimbursement) → payments → status Staff loans / advances → repayments Accounting postings linked to HR/finance events (where applicable) Perform regression testing after fixes and new builds. Log bugs with steps to reproduce, expected vs actual result, screenshots, and severity. Optional: light API testing (Postman/Swagger) if you have experience. Optional: suggest test cases / checklists per module. What we provide Access to test/staging environment (or local setup guide). Module overview and priority list each sprint. Direct communication with the dev team (English). Required skills 2+ years manual QA on web applications (B2B / ERP / admin panels preferred). Strong attention to detail and structured bug reporting. Comfortable testing multi-step workflows (approvals, status changes, permissions). Good written English for bug tickets and short test summaries. Basic understanding of business apps (HR, payroll, finance, or inventory is a plus). Nice to have Experience with Angular + REST API projects Postman or Swagger for API checks SQL (read-only queries to verify data) Familiarity with payroll, leave, or accounting systems Test case tools (Excel, TestRail, Notion, etc.)
