QuickBooks Online Cleanup & Reconciliation

I’m looking for an experienced bookkeeper who can dive into a partially maintained QuickBooks Online account, audit what’s going on, and take the lead on getting it cleaned up. This is for a small tour business with relatively simple accounts and transaction flow, but the books need attention. The main issue is that the bank balance and QuickBooks balance amounts are not matching for my synced business checking and PayPal accounts. I need someone who can review the setup, identify what is causing the discrepancies, clean up the records, and help produce an accurate balance sheet report. The account structure is fairly straightforward: One business checking account One business PayPal account Income entering from three main sources: Viator GetYourGuide Direct sales through Stripe I am looking for someone who is comfortable taking charge of the cleanup process, asking for what they need, and guiding the work rather than needing every step spelled out. Ideally, you have experience cleaning up QBO accounts where bank feeds, payment processors, transfers, fees, and sales deposits may not have been handled correctly. Immediate goals: Audit current QuickBooks Online setup Reconcile synced business checking and PayPal accounts Identify why bank balances and QuickBooks balances are not matching Correct miscategorized or duplicate transactions Review income entries from OTAs and Stripe Clean up transfers, fees, and deposits as needed Produce a clean and reliable balance sheet report Help leave the books in a usable condition going forward After the initial cleanup, I would also like to establish ongoing monthly or bi-monthly reconciliation so the books stay current and I do not have to keep dealing with cleanup issues later. This business is relatively simple, but I need the books cleaned up promptly and accurately. I also have a second small business that may offer additional bookkeeping opportunities if we work well together.
