R2v3 Implementation and Certification Readiness Consultant Required We are seeking an experienced R2v3 consultant to support the implementation of the R2v3 Standard for one of our startup clients based in the United States. The client is a small startup with two employees. The consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing the required R2v3 management system, preparing the company for certification, and coordinating with an approved independent certification body. Tentative Scope of Certification Refurbishment, testing, data sanitization, grading, polishing, and distribution of pre-owned mobile phones, including environmentally responsible handling, reuse, recycling, and disposal in compliance with applicable environmental, data security, health and safety, and legal requirements across the United States. Scope of Work The selected consultant will be expected to: Conduct an initial R2v3 gap assessment. Confirm the applicable R2v3 Core Requirements and Process Requirements. Define and finalise the certification scope. Develop an R2v3 implementation plan. Prepare all required policies, procedures, registers, forms, and records. Establish environmental, health and safety, data security, and legal compliance controls. Develop procedures for testing, refurbishment, grading, polishing, data sanitization, reuse, recycling, and disposal. Establish controls for Focus Materials and downstream vendors. Develop a legal and regulatory compliance register covering applicable US federal, state, and local requirements. Establish data sanitization procedures aligned with applicable standards and customer requirements. Support the implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or R2v3 Appendix requirements, where applicable. Conduct employee awareness and implementation training. Support downstream vendor qualification and due diligence. Conduct an internal audit and management review. Prepare corrective action plans and close identified gaps. Support Stage 1 and Stage 2 certification audits. Coordinate with an approved R2v3 certification body until certification is successfully completed. Required Experience Applicants should have: Demonstrated experience implementing the SERI R2v3 Standard. Previous experience supporting R2v3 certification audits. Knowledge of electronics reuse, refurbishment, recycling, and e-waste requirements. Strong knowledge of data sanitization and data security controls. Experience with environmental, health and safety, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of downstream recycling chain management and Focus Materials requirements. Experience preparing policies, procedures, registers, risk assessments, internal audits, and management review records. Familiarity with relevant US federal and state environmental regulations. Deliverables R2v3 gap assessment report. Detailed implementation plan. Complete R2v3 documentation package. Applicable legal and regulatory compliance register. Risk assessments and operational control procedures. Data sanitization and device-tracking procedures. Downstream vendor due-diligence records. Training and awareness materials. Internal audit report. Management review records. Corrective action and certification-readiness report. Support through the independent certification audit. Proposal Requirements Please include the following in your proposal: Details of your previous R2v3 implementation projects. Number of organisations you have supported through R2v3 certification. Your understanding of the applicable R2v3 Process Requirements for this scope. Your proposed implementation methodology and timeline. Your fixed-price or milestone-based quotation. Details of any R2v3 certification bodies with which you have previously worked. Confirmation that certification will be conducted independently by an approved certification body. We are looking for a practical and cost-effective consultant who can develop a proportionate management system suitable for a two-person startup while ensuring full compliance with R2v3 certification requirements.
