REQUEST FOR QUOTE — Thai Proofreading/Editing & Typesetting Book project: "Consummate the Golf Game" (Thai edition). Two services requested, single-vendor preferred. Please return a written quote with the line items, deliverables, and estimated completion time described below. 1. Project Overview We are publishing a Thai-language edition of a completed non-fiction book, "Consummate the Golf Game: A Playful Guide to Reconnecting, Repairing, and Falling Back in Love, One Round at a Time," by Lee & Leah Andrews (imprint: Acadia Grace Media). The English edition is complete and already typeset. The full Thai translation is finished in draft form and ready for a native-Thai proofreading/editing pass, followed by professional Thai typesetting. We are seeking a quote for two services: (1) Thai proofreading and light editing, and (2) Thai typesetting in Adobe InDesign. We prefer a single vendor who can manage both and deliver the edited manuscript, the edited cover copy, and the final typeset interior. We will handle all cover design and artwork ourselves. 2. What I Will Provide • The complete Thai translation manuscript (interior), supplied as editable Word/.docx files, left-aligned, organized by chapter and section. • A detailed translator's notes document, with per-passage comments explaining judgment calls (terminology, transliteration choices, sensitive content, and items flagged for native-Thai review). This is meant to make the proofreader's job faster and more informed. • Thai cover copy (front and back), supplied as a bilingual reference document (English source beside Thai translation), for proofreading/editing only. • The English typeset edition (print PDF) to serve as the visual/layout reference for the Thai typesetting. 3. Service 1 — Thai Proofreading & Light Editing Scope: a native-Thai proofreading and light copy-editing pass over (a) the full interior manuscript and (b) the cover copy. "Light editing" means correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, consistency, and natural-Thai phrasing — not retranslation or rewriting. The translator's notes identify the specific passages most in need of editorial attention. Manuscript extent: approximately 70,000–75,000 words of English source translated to Thai. Structure: front matter, 9 chapters, conclusion, special thanks, 87 endnotes, and a 44-entry bibliography. The interior contains recurring special elements the editor should be aware of: shaded sidebar/box features, a two-sided "scorecard" reference element, banner lines, bulleted/lead-in lists, and short italic asides. Citations convention (already applied, for confirmation only): all bibliographic citations and the endnote reference entries are kept verbatim in English per standard Thai academic practice; only connective/explanatory prose and section headers are in Thai. Please confirm this is handled consistently rather than reformatting it. Deliverable: a clean, edited Thai manuscript (interior) and edited Thai cover copy, returned in editable .docx, with changes either tracked or summarized so we can review them. 4. Service 2 — Thai Typesetting (Adobe InDesign) Scope: professional Thai-language typesetting of the edited interior, using the supplied English typeset edition as the layout/design reference (matching trim, structure, heading hierarchy, sidebars, and overall look as closely as Thai composition allows). Proper Thai line-breaking/justification should be enabled. Cover is NOT in scope — we will design and produce all covers ourselves and place the final Thai script on them. Trim size: 6 × 9 inches. Output editions required: (1) paperback interior, (2) hardback interior, and (3) reflowable EPUB interior. Required deliverables: print-ready interior PDF(s) for paperback and hardback; a valid EPUB file for the ebook interior; AND the editable original Adobe InDesign source files — the .indd file(s) plus a full Package (all linked assets and fonts) — so we can make minor edits later ourselves. Please confirm in your quote that Thai font licensing permits handing over the packaged fonts for our future editing, or advise how you handle font licensing. Preferred font: TH Sarabun New 5. Revisions Please include at least one round of author review and corrections after first proofs in your base price, and state your rate for any additional rounds beyond that. 6. What to Include in Your Quote Please provide: (a) a price for Service 1 (proofreading/editing); (b) a price for Service 2 (typesetting), (c) the optional add-on below, priced separately; (d) your estimated completion time for each service; (e) the revision terms; and (f) confirmation of the deliverable file formats listed above. Optional add-on (price separately, do not include in base): the book contains one short original poem (a rhyming, metered verse of roughly 6 stanzas). Our draft renders it as faithful Thai free verse; we would like an optional quote for a Thai poet/literary editor to rework it into proper Thai rhyme and meter (สัมผัส/ฉันทลักษณ์). Please quote this as a standalone item we can accept or decline. 7. Commercial Terms Currency: quotes may be in THB or USD. Payment: we are based in Thailand and can pay in THB via PromptPay or Thai bank QR transfer. Please state your preferred payment method and schedule (e.g., deposit + balance on delivery). Timeline: we do not have a hard deadline, but we expect a turnaround on the order of a few weeks. Please state your realistic estimated completion time for each service, and your current availability. Single-vendor preference: we would prefer one vendor to manage both services and deliver the edited manuscript, the edited cover copy, and the final typeset interior together. If you only offer one of the two services, you are still welcome to quote for that part. 8. How to Respond Please reply with your written quote covering the items in Section 6, samples of comparable Thai book interiors you have typeset (if available), and any questions about scope. We are happy to share a sample chapter of the translated manuscript and the English typeset reference on request so you can assess the work before quoting.
