React Developer Needed — Community Directory Platform

What We're Building We have a working single-file React prototype (~1,500 lines) for a bilingual community platform. We need an experienced developer to refactor it into a clean component-based architecture and build two services: • Service 1 — A phone directory for individuals, businesses, and diaspora members. Bilingual EN/AR, RTL support, filter by region and town, keyword search, photo uploads via Cloudinary. • Service 2 — A blood donation opt-in registry with a donor form, blood type matching, and a blood request submission form. Both services share the same backend, verification flow, and component structure. The codebase must be clean and reusable as additional services will follow in later phases. Tech Stack • Frontend: React (component architecture — not a single file) • Backend: Google Sheets + Google Apps Script (client provides the Sheet) • Photos: Cloudinary (client provides account) • Hosting: Netlify (client provides account) — deployed at custom domain • Verification: WhatsApp deeplink flow (no third-party messaging API needed) • Bilingual: full EN/AR with RTL layout, Amiri font for Arabic Scope • Refactor existing prototype into proper component structure • Fix known bugs in prototype (listed in full brief provided on hire) • Connect to Google Sheets via Apps Script (read/write + publish JSON) • Build the blood donation service using the same architecture • Deploy both services to Netlify under client's custom domain • Write brief handover notes for non-technical admin ℹ No payments, no user accounts, no automated messaging. Scope is intentionally tight. We're Looking For • Strong React — hooks, component architecture, state management • Experience with Google Apps Script or equivalent serverless backend • Familiarity with Arabic/RTL layouts • Clean, readable, commented code • English communication · Arabic a bonus ⚠ Please include links to at least two past React projects.
