Readymag SEO Fix — Get My Wedding Photography Site Indexed by Google
Worldwide
Job Tasks Check the "Search engine indexing" toggle in Readymag Project Settings → Domain tab. Confirm it's switched on, and confirm the custom domain (vikmoon.com) is properly mapped to the project. Verify robots.txt and sitemap.xml are both live and correct at vikmoon.com/robots.txt and vikmoon.com/sitemap.xml, and that nothing is unintentionally blocking crawlers. Set up Google Search Console for the domain (Domain property, not URL-prefix) — either walk me through adding the DNS TXT verification record, or provide exact instructions for me to do it. Submit the sitemap in Search Console once verified, and use the URL Inspection tool to request indexing on the key pages (homepage, portfolio, about, contact, the "Hamptons wedding photographer" page, and at least 2–3 wedding gallery/journal pages). Review and fill in SEO metadata — project-level title/description in Domain settings, plus per-page titles and descriptions for the main pages, if any are missing or generic. Check heading structure and alt text — confirm key pages have proper H1/H2 text styling applied and that images have descriptive alt text (at minimum on the homepage and top 2–3 portfolio/gallery pages). Confirm canonical domain — make sure www.vikmoon.com and vikmoon.com aren't creating duplicate/competing versions in Google's eyes (Readymag adds canonical tags automatically, but please confirm they're pointing to the right version). Provide a short summary at the end: what was found, what was changed, and any remaining issues I should watch for or follow up on (e.g., if indexing doesn't show results within a few days). Ideal Candidate Direct, verifiable experience building or maintaining sites on Readymag specifically (not just general web/SEO experience) Comfortable with basic DNS record setup (TXT records) and Google Search Console Can work within a focused ~1 hour session and communicate findings clearly, since this is meant to be a quick, scoped fix rather than an ongoing engagement
