Summary

ABOUT US Myvicto is a Swiss premium golf putter brand. Every putter is CNC-milled in Switzerland from aerospace-grade aluminium and steel, anodised in eight colors, fully customisable by the customer (head model, color, shaft, grip, weights, length, dexterity). Website: myvicto.com WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD A real-time 3D configurator embedded on our Shopify product page, at the visual quality of: - Nike By You — https://www.nike.com/nike-by-you - Cowboy Bikes — https://cowboy.com/bikes - Apple Watch Studio — https://www.apple.com/shop/studio/apple-watch - Porsche Car Configurator — https://www.porsche.com/configurator This is NOT pre-rendered images. It is a live 3D scene running in the browser. The customer drags to rotate the putter, picks options from a side panel, and the visual updates live as parts are swapped in. We also want a subtle assembly animation: as the customer makes their selections, new parts (shaft, grip, weight discs, head color) appear and attach to the putter one by one, as if it were being built in front of them. At the end of the flow, they see a final unique visual representing their exact build. Every color, finish, and material must match the real physical product precisely. We will not ship anything the customer didn't see in the configurator. SCOPE OF WORK 1. 3D modeling of our putter heads from source CAD + photo reference: - 4 mallet models (E-Serie, L-Serie, Z-Serie, M-Serie) - 2 blade models (B-Serie, C-Serie) - Shaft (3 finishes: chrome, brushed, black) - Grip variants (4 options) - Weight discs (5 weight tiers with paired steel discs + torx screws) Each head must include: - Face milling (CNC grooves on strike face) — baked as geometry, not just normal map - Correctly modeled hosel at 70° lie angle - Weight ports (threaded cavities + torx screws on sole) - Laser engravings ("myvicto x MLA" on bumper) - Back cavity with strike fins (visible on reference photos) - Swiss Made engraving 2. PBR texturing (Substance Painter or equivalent): - 8 anodised colorways (exact color codes provided) - Albedo / metalness / roughness / normal / AO maps at 2K - Calibrated for satin anodised aluminium (NOT mirror chrome) - Delivered as KHR_materials_variants glTF extension or separate material sets 3. Web viewer integration (Three.js / React Three Fiber): - Real-time scene with orbit controls (drag to rotate, zoom, pan) - Side panel with option selection (model, color, shaft, grip, weight, length, dexterity) - Each selection updates the 3D scene live, with a smooth micro-animation - "Assembly animation": parts fade/slide into place as user progresses through the configurator steps - HDR studio lighting + subtle contact shadows - Mobile-responsive, target 60fps on mid-range phones - Loading screen with progress indicator (initial load under 3s on fast connection) 4. Final delivery: - Optimized GLB files for each part, under 5MB per model (Draco or Meshopt compression) - React component (or vanilla JS module) ready to drop into our Shopify product page - Documentation for extending (adding new colors, models, or options later) - Source files (.blend, .spp, or equivalent) so we can modify without you later SOURCE ASSETS WE PROVIDE - High-resolution photos of the real putters (multiple angles, all 8 colors, close-ups of milling, engravings, weight ports, hosel, etc.) — professionally shot, usable as direct reference for every surface detail. - CAD files (STEP AP214) for each model — dimensional ground truth. - Anodising color codes (RAL / Pantone) for all 8 finishes. - Finish specifications per colorway (satin / brushed / bead-blasted). - Engraving artwork (vector / SVG) for "myvicto x MLA" and logos. - Access to physical putters if the freelance wants to do their own photo reference. IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE CAD SOURCE Our STEP files are simplified manufacturing exports. Some signature details are NOT present in the geometry and will need to be modeled from photo reference: face milling grooves on the strike face, laser engravings ("myvicto x MLA", Swiss Made, model name), weight port threads on the sole, and the back-cavity strike fins. The hosel may also need reshaping to match the real product. Please factor this into your modeling estimate — we will provide professional close-up photos of every detail. AESTHETIC DIRECTION Dark / black theme. HDR lighting must be calibrated for a dark backdrop, with key and rim lights revealing the curved face geometry and the anodised colorways. This is a different skillset from white studio lighting and we will assess it in your portfolio. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS - Stack: Three.js / React Three Fiber (preferred) or Babylon.js - Format: glTF 2.0 / GLB, Draco or Meshopt compressed - Texture format: KTX2 / Basis Universal preferred, JPG/PNG acceptable - Performance target: 60fps on iPhone 13+ / mid-range Android, 30fps minimum on older devices - Total scene size: under 15MB for all parts combined - Browser support: Safari 15+, Chrome / Firefox / Edge latest 2 versions - Shopify integration: embeddable as a Shopify section or product-page widget MUST-HAVE SKILLS - Hardsurface 3D modeling (Blender, Cinema4D, Maya, or 3ds Max) - PBR texturing with Substance Painter (or equivalent) - glTF / GLB export and web optimization - Three.js or React Three Fiber integration experience - MANDATORY: at least one shipped, live real-time 3D web configurator in your portfolio — please share direct URLs. ArtStation hero renders alone will not be considered. - Understanding of KHR_materials_variants and glTF material systems NICE TO HAVE - Previous work on sports equipment, watches, luxury goods, or vehicles - Experience with Shopify custom sections - Familiarity with @react-three/drei, leva, or similar - Animation / rigging skills for assembly sequences - HDR environment lighting and studio rendering experience BUDGET & TIMELINE - Budget: open. Reference range $2,500-5,000 USD for complete scope. We are ready to pay more for the right person with a strong portfolio. - Timeline: 4-6 weeks from asset handover to final delivery. Phased milestones welcomed (1 model first as proof of quality, then roll out to all 6). - Payment: milestone-based (20% on signed contract, 30% on first model approved, 30% on all models delivered, 20% on final integration and QA). HOW TO APPLY In your proposal, please include: 1. Direct links to 2-3 real-time 3D web configurators you have shipped (live URLs). Pre-rendered images alone will not be considered. 2. A short note on how you would approach the assembly animation and material system for the 8 colorways. 3. Your preferred tooling pipeline (modeling → texturing → optimization → web integration). 4. Rough estimate for phase 1 (one mallet model fully delivered and integrated) so we can validate fit before committing to full scope. 5. Availability to start within 2 weeks. Short, specific proposals will be read first. Copy-paste generic pitches will be ignored. Looking forward.
