Rebuild real estate website (Astro + Cloudflare) — headless, API-driven, phased engagement

CONFIDENTIAL NAME is a real estate firm rebuilding our public website. We have full read access to our existing property-listings REST API (a third-party CRM) but no access to our current site's source code this is a from-scratch rebuild, not a code migration. What we need: - A new public site built on Astro, deployed on Cloudflare (Workers/Pages) - Headless architecture — property listings, search/filtering, and property detail pages driven entirely by our existing REST API - Feature parity with our current site: home page, property search/listing, property detail pages, two marketing landing pages, a property valuation tool (re-embedding an existing third-party widget), a contact form, and a policy page - Modern tracking: server-side tagging (Cloudflare Zaraz preferred) for GA4/Google Ads/Meta, plus a funnel-based event taxonomy (property views, filter usage, valuation funnel, contact funnel) — our current tracking is unreliable, and getting this right is a priority, not an afterthought - Strong Core Web Vitals/mobile performance and clean on-page SEO (metadata, canonical tags, structured data) — our current site has real, documented problems here that need to be solved structurally, not just replicated A known technical challenge, upfront: our listings API has real data-quality issues on a meaningful share of individual property records — deterministic errors on specific records, not transient flakiness. We need someone comfortable designing graceful fallback/caching behavior around an imperfect third-party API, not just building against clean, well-documented ones. How we want to engage: we'd like to start with a small paid trial (roughly 2–3 days): build the API integration layer with proper error/fallback handling, plus one working listing page and one property detail page, against our real API. This lets us evaluate real working code and technical judgment before committing further. If that goes well, we move to the full build. Budget: Open propose your rate/structure (fixed-price or hourly) for the trial, and a rough range for the full project if you have a view once you've seen the scope. Looking for: - Strong Astro (or equivalent modern JAMstack) + Cloudflare Workers/Pages experience - Real experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including ones with real-world quirks - SEO fundamentals and Core Web Vitals comfort - Bonus: server-side tagging (Zaraz, server-side GTM) and event-based analytics (GA4, Mixpanel) - Comfortable working from Spanish-language UI copy (we provide it)
