Record-to-Report Operations Expert

I'm looking for an experienced Record-to-Report (R2R) professional with deep, hands-on expertise across the financial close and reporting cycle for a series of paid consultations. These are discovery sessions — I want to understand how R2R work actually happens in practice: where the real friction lives, how teams handle volume during close, and what separates work that gets done cleanly from work that creates last-minute fire drills. My primary focus is reconciliations and exception/variance investigation, but I expect to cover the full cycle across several sessions: - Journal entries & sub-ledger close - Account reconciliations & intercompany - Exception, break & variance investigation (primary focus) - Consolidation & adjustments - Financial reporting & disclosures I'll bring specific questions and I'm after candid, practical answers from someone who has done the work, not high-level overviews. Ideal background: - Several years across the R2R / financial close cycle, with strong depth in reconciliations and exception investigation - Experience at a BPO / shared services center / controllership function, or across multiple entities and ERP systems - Strong grasp of recurring break patterns, close bottlenecks, and what actually resolves discrepancies Format: paid calls (45–60 min each), starting with one session and continuing across several if it's a good fit.
