Recruiter for Web Developer/SEO Talent

We're seeking a skilled recruiter to source and screen candidates for web developer and SEO roles. The ideal candidate has experience identifying top talent and conducting thorough interviews to ensure the best fit for our team. Our venture capital firm owns a diversified business group in construction, excavation, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, legal, and similar trades. These sites need to do more than look good: they're built to rank on Google, surface in AI/answer engines, and convert visitors into calls, form submissions, and qualified leads for our portfolio of companies. You'll be updating existing websites as well as building new ones. The goal is to work with the latest web development tech stack to produce amazing websites. This role may be filled as one position or two. I'm open to hiring a single person to handle both the web development and the SEO if the right all-rounder surfaces, or hiring separately — a developer for the build and a specialist for the SEO. What you'll do: Understand each of my businesses, their services, and target markets Plan and own the full website build from kickoff to launch Build using Next.js, React, WordPress, Webflow, or similar — leveraging AI tools to move faster Create SEO/AEO-focused site structures: service pages, landing pages, and location pages Ensure every site is fast, mobile-friendly, conversion-focused, and technically sound Manage other freelancers when needed (designers, writers, developers, SEO support) Work independently, without step-by-step direction Ideal candidate: Experienced building lead-generation websites Strong in SEO, local SEO, AEO, schema, internal linking, and conversion optimization Comfortable using AI tools to speed up research, content, and production — without violating search engine guidelines and risking a penalty Takes full ownership and delivers finished sites that generate leads Technical skills: Web development — React / Next.js / Supabase / Lovable; responsive design, page speed, site launch Traditional SEO — on-page & technical SEO; local SEO (Google Business Profile, citations, Maps/3-Pack); link building AI search optimization — GEO, AEO, and LLM SEO (ranking in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity); schema & structured data Analytics — Google Analytics 4 & Search Console How to apply: Submit a short video screen recording — with your face on camera — walking me through Google Search Console data from your previous work, showing real ranking and traffic results.
