Contract Recruiter – Automation & Traffic Roles Overview We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter with specialized expertise in sourcing, engaging, and hiring talent in automation, intelligent systems, traffic engineering, and related technical fields. This role will partner closely with hiring managers, engineering leaders, and HR to rapidly fill high-impact positions while ensuring a streamlined and effective candidate experience. This is a contract position with flexible hours and remote options depending on business needs. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Full-cycle recruiting for roles across automation, robotics, traffic engineering, traffic operations, controls engineering, systems integration, and related specialties. • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies, including direct outreach, talent mapping, competitive research, and pipeline building. • Collaborate with hiring managers to create clear and compelling job requirements, interview plans, and selection criteria. • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for technical and behavioral competencies. • Utilize ATS and CRM tools for workflow management, talent tracking, and data integrity. • Coordinate interview processes, feedback loops, and offer negotiations. • Maintain strong communication with candidates to provide a smooth, transparent hiring experience. • Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, sourcing channel performance) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. • Advise leaders on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive talent landscapes within automation and traffic engineering sectors. • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, hiring policies, and data privacy standards. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • Minimum 3–7+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in technical, engineering, or automation-focused environments. • Proven success sourcing and hiring for roles such as automation engineers, controls engineers, robotics specialists, traffic engineers, traffic operations analysts, transportation technologists, or similar technical positions. • Strong proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and other sourcing tools. • Ability to effectively evaluate technical skill sets and match candidates to highly specialized roles. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence hiring partners. • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities. • Ability to work independently, hit deadlines, and manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Experience recruiting within industries such as traffic enforcement, robotics, automation, and manufacturing • Familiarity with traffic operations standards, ITS technologies, SCADA systems, PLCs, and other technical domains (a plus—understanding, not mastery, required). • Previous contract recruiting or RPO experience. • Knowledge of compensation analysis and labor market data tools. ________________________________________ Contract Details • Duration: 4-6 months (with potential for extension) • Hours: Flexible, based on project needs • Location: Remote or hybrid • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or project-based structure
